Playing with Paint Chips

Hello everyone ~
A few weeks ago, my sweet and talented friend, Virginia challenged her blog followers to create a card using paint chips. If you haven’t seen her gorgeous cards using them, please check out Her Blog ~ you’ll be amazed!

So, I finally made a trip to Home Depot to pick up some paint chips, then perused her blog for some ideas, and decided to CASE this card!

I love how Virginia used the negative die cuts from her alphabet dies, so I pulled out my PTI lower case dies, and created a Christmas card. I think this may be the first time I ever made a card without using stamps! Here is my card:

I had a lot of fun playing with paint chips, too! I used 'Behr' brand, and I was a bit surprised at the really high quality of the cardstock they use to make these paint samples!

My 2nd card is for 2 challenges:
CASology ~ Our cue card this week is ribbon, but instead of using something from my ‘mega’ ribbon collection, I decided to use a die to represent a ribbon and bow. And, for the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge, where our theme for this week is to create a 'Clean and Simple' card.

I hope everyone is having a great week! Thank you all so much for stopping by!
Barb

Your second card is so gorgeous! Love that ornament and what a fab idea to use the dies for your ribbon and bow!

Great execution on both cards Barb. The die bow is lovely, and your paint chip card is cheery in those blues.
