Sorry You're Feeling Down

Hi everyone ~
This week’s Guest Designer at the Muse Card Challenge is my sweet friend, Lisa Haines at The Purple Place. My card is inspired by her design, and since her favorite color is purple, I wanted to be sure to include that on my card as well. I don't think I realized how many shades of purple there are, so
my boots are more of a  reddish/purple.

Here is Lisa’s card:

And, here is my card:

I started by using my new stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted Stamps. I embossed the boots to add dimension to the card, then stamped them. I kept the card CAS by adding just  a sentiment and some rain drops. I also added clear Wink of Stella to the rain drops and clear embossing powder to the sentiment to give the card a little shimmer. I felt like the card still needed a little ‘something’, so I added 2 scored lines under the sentiment. The scoring and embossing is hard to see in the photo, so hopefully, you can see these details better in this close-up:

The theme for this week's challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More is CAS, so I would also like to enter this card over there as well!

Well, that’s it for me...I hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by  ~

Hi there, Barb. I LOVE your gumboots. The extra time you took for the embossing (both heat and dry) really make this card special! Thanks so much for playing along at ATSM xx
