CASology Challenge #119

Hi there ~
The Cue Card this week at CASology is Ghost! Unfortunately, I don't own any ghost stamps or dies, so I decided to search the Silhouette Store, and this is what I came up with:

So, I enlarged the image and cut it in white so I could color the eyes in a 'creepy' shade of green and the nose and pupil in black. I stamped part of a sentiment from Mama Elephants' Bootastic stamp set, and colored in the alphas with Copic markers. Lastly, I popped up his 'hands' with dimensional adhesive and mounted the panel on to a purple card base. I think he's kinda cute!

I would also like to enter this card in SSS Wednesday Challenge for the theme 'Anything Goes' and AAA Cards Challenge for the theme CAS Halloween.

So, that's it for me...Thanks so much for stopping by,
Barb

Tag You're It Challenge #9

Hi there blog friends,
I haven't played along in the Tag You're It Challenge in a while, and love this week's inspiration tag created by Leigh Penner. Here is her tag:

I love how she placed her pattern on an angle and added a simple die cut sentiment. Here is my tag:

I die cut my Pretty Pink Posh tag with pale aqua cardstock, and used my Hero Arts stencil for my pattern. First, I inked it on an angle with a slightly darker shade of aqua, then shifted the stencil to the left, and used white embossing paste to add texture. I die cut the sentiment 3 times and stacked them, then tucked in the bird for fun. And, that was it!

Happy Birthday, Shirley

Hello there blog friends,
Today is a very special day...Maria is having a "Linky Party" to celebrate Shirley-Bee's Birthday! Before I get to my card, I wanted to share this photo...

This is for you, Shirley! I wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more!
And, now on to my card:

I wanted to create a bouquet of flowers, so I used my new WPlus9 stamp and die set. I die cut the container with silver foil cardstock, although my camera flash made it look dark gray and flat. The sentiment is PTI Wet Paint, and the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thank you Shirley, for always inspiring us with your beautiful creations! I hope you have a great day with family and friends, and that all of your birthday wishes come true!!!

If you would like to join in the Linky Party, or view all the beautiful cards that everyone created for Shirley, check out Maria's Blog ~Thanks for stopping by,

Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #4

Hi everyone,
There's a new Challenge over in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Group and this time, the theme is Water Coloring! Here is my card:

I love the little pup in this stamp and die set, so I inked him up and used water color pencils to color him. I used distress inks for the background, and my new Kuratake water colors for the die cut sentiment. It just sort of worked out that way, and it was fun!

If you're interested in joining in the challenge, go Here to check it out! The prize is a $50.00 Gift Card from Simon Says Stamp for the randomly drawn winner...deadline for this challenge is Thursday, 9:00am EST October 30th, so there is plenty of time :)

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for the theme 'Anything Goes'.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
