Copic Markers for Card Makers - Day 2

Hi there, blog friends! On Day 2 of Online Card Class: Copic Markers for Card Makers, we learned blending tricks. I especially enjoyed the video tutorial by Laura Bassen who calls herself a  "Redneck" Copic Colorer! Believe me, Laura is no Redneck! Especially when it comes to techniques! She taught us about Acetate Blending as a technique to create shades that we don't already have in our collection. Here is my attempt at this technique:

I bought this WPlus9 stamp set a while ago, so I was really happy to have it in my arsenal for this technique. I stamped the large butterfly and two medium butterflies with Memento ink and colored, blended, colored and blended some more! I wanted to keep this card CAS, so I just added a sentiment from PTI, a touch of glitter with my WOS pen and a few gems.

Here is a close up of all the sparkle on the butterflies:

Since this card is CAS, I would like to enter it into Virginia's View Current Challenge.

So, that's it for me today! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start...Thanks so much for stopping by,
Barb

This is fab colouring Barb and what great colours you have used. I was trying to use my copics yesterday and channel my inner Nonni (as she taught me some techniques) but I am really not very good but it is relaxing and doing something different is fun...you are going to be a star colouring at the end of this course!!

This is so gorgeous. It just jumped right out at me in Virginia's gallery. I am gathering reasons to take that Copic class, and your butterfly card just added 3 more reasons to the list.
