To The Best Kid Ever

Hello again, blog friends! The theme for this month's challenge on the a2z Scrapbooking Blog is 'New', and today is my turn to post my card. I decided to try a new technique again, and this time it's double die cutting, which was inspired by...you guessed it ~ Laura Bassen in the Craftsy Online Card Class! Here is my card:

I started by die cutting the bears, but leaving their feet (or are they paws?) attached to the card base. Then I partially die cut the circle and cut the remainder of the opening with my Exacto Knife. I inked the background with soft pool shadow ink and colored in the bears with my Copic markers. A few silver stars from my stash, and that was it!

Right now, there are a lot of Hero Arts stamps, inks and stencils on clearance in the a2z Scrapbooking Store, so if you're looking for a great bargain, go check it out! And, as always, you are welcome to use Coupon Code: BARB15 for 15% off your order of $25. or more (before tax) in the a2z Store!

Don't forget on the a2z Scrapbooking Blog, we always have a fun challenge! You may enter up to 5 times to be eligible to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store with each entry!

Since I tried a new technique for this card, I would like to enter it into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Double die cutting sounds scary.... might just have to give it a go, if it looks half as good as this I'll be chuffed!

This card is so cute. I love those bears and how they are all snuggled up together. Cool die cutting technique--left me scratching my head a bit, kind of like a magic trick.
