Addicted to CAS Challenge #71

Hi there blog friends ~
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS! The super talented and oh, so sweet Joanna is our Hostess, and she chose 'Blue' as the code word for this challenge! Also, Linda will be joining us again as our Guest Designer, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps will be sponsoring this challenge, and they are offering a $20.00 Gift Certificate to their store for the winner!

I decided to create two cards, and my first one is heavily inspired (CASE'd, really) by Anna Kossakovskaya with her first card in THIS POST. Here is mine:

I fell in love with Anna's card, and couldn't wait to use my new PTI Vintage Linens stamp set. So, I used SSS Audrey Blue ink for the flowers and SSS Mint ink for the leaves. I placed the vellum over the card base and scattered my new 'Rainstones' here and there so I could have a place to add a touch of glue underneath (I prefer to keep the vellum snug against the card). The tag is from MFT, and to that I added a few enamel dots. Actually, the sentiment is perfect, as I am very grateful to Anna for inspiring me to create this gem :)

For my 2nd card, I wanted to have a little fun, and I happened to spot these adorable birds in my Silhouette library:

I used the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble die and stamped a sentiment from their Flutter By set. The images are called 'Three Birds' and were created by Jamie Koay. I cut them on my Silhouette and colored them with Copic markers. Lastly, I added a few musical notes from PTI's Boy Basics Rock On stamp set...and that was it!

We would love to have you stop by the ATCAS Blog to see what the DT has created, and play along in our challenge!

Have a great weekend...Thanks so much for stopping by,

Stamplorations Inspiration Project Post #31

Hello there ~
A quick post to share a card I created for Stamplorations Inspiration Project Post, where we are being asked to CASE one of the cards created by the Inspiration Team. I chose to CASE Deepti's card, using the same set that she designed called Lotus Love
Here is my card:

Deepti used no-line water coloring on her card, but after several failed attempts, I decided to go with clear embossing powder and my Brushos. I die cut the panel with Mama Elephant Femme Frames and mounted it with foam tape onto a PTI Soft Stone card base. I stamped a small sentiment also from Deepti's set, and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by...and for all of your lovely comments! I appreciate them very much!

Muse Challenge #129

Hi everyone,

I have a card to share for this week's challenge at Muse. Anita Bowden has provided us with inspiration with her fabulous card:

Here is my card:

I was inspired by Anita's color palette, design, and gold splatters. I used two shades of blue ink for the Stamplorations Bubble Stencil to create a gentle ombre effect, then die cut the SSS 'Thanks' die. As a nod to her gold leaves, I die cut the butterfly with gold foil cardstock and I used black cardstock for the sentiment, just as Anita did on her card. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by ~ Have a great weekend,

Addicted to Stamps - Challenge #158

Sponsored by ~

Hello blog friends! Before I begin my post, I want to apologize for being MIA a few times over the past week. Hubby and I took some time out to 'hang out' at the beach for a few days and I haven't had a chance to get caught up on visiting everyone's blog...If I haven't been by, please be patient...I promise to visit you asap :)

So, it's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and our theme is Holiday! Our Sponsor is Stamplorations, and they will be giving a $10.00 voucher to the store for the winner. I hope you'll take some time to check out the ATSM Blog to see what my amazing teamies have created for this challenge, and that it will inspire you to join in the fun!

For this challenge, I created two Halloween cards and a goodie bag:

For my first card, I blended distress inks, using one of the new colors (Abandoned Coral) with Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade, and I was happy with how it turned out. With some basic stamping, embossing, Copic coloring and die cutting...it was done!

For my 2nd card, I die cut the witch with my Silhouette, then die cut the SSS Falling Stars Die, and backed it with glitter paper. I cut the card on an angle to match the angle of the witch, embossed the sentiment and popped everything up with foam tape.

I love to send goodie bags to my granddaughter in Florida, so I thought it would be great to get a head start, and I created this bag:

I used the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die and after I cut the bag, I stamped it with bats from the Mama Elephant Bootastic stamp set. A little orange gingham ribbon, and that was it!

So, that's it for me...Thanks so much for stopping by ~
