Addicted to Stamps - Challenge #158

Sponsored by ~

Hello blog friends! Before I begin my post, I want to apologize for being MIA a few times over the past week. Hubby and I took some time out to 'hang out' at the beach for a few days and I haven't had a chance to get caught up on visiting everyone's blog...If I haven't been by, please be patient...I promise to visit you asap :)

So, it's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and our theme is Holiday! Our Sponsor is Stamplorations, and they will be giving a $10.00 voucher to the store for the winner. I hope you'll take some time to check out the ATSM Blog to see what my amazing teamies have created for this challenge, and that it will inspire you to join in the fun!

For this challenge, I created two Halloween cards and a goodie bag:

For my first card, I blended distress inks, using one of the new colors (Abandoned Coral) with Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade, and I was happy with how it turned out. With some basic stamping, embossing, Copic coloring and die cutting...it was done!

For my 2nd card, I die cut the witch with my Silhouette, then die cut the SSS Falling Stars Die, and backed it with glitter paper. I cut the card on an angle to match the angle of the witch, embossed the sentiment and popped everything up with foam tape.

I love to send goodie bags to my granddaughter in Florida, so I thought it would be great to get a head start, and I created this bag:

I used the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die and after I cut the bag, I stamped it with bats from the Mama Elephant Bootastic stamp set. A little orange gingham ribbon, and that was it!

So, that's it for me...Thanks so much for stopping by ~

What a fabulous bunch of projects. Love your inking--you have blending down to a science. And, I really love that little bag--such a fun way to send off some treats. Hope you and DH had a nice getaway. You did leave me lots of comments, so I assume he did not notice when you snuck off every so often.

ACK! Oh my goodness, Barb! I've bypassed crushing over and being smitten by your Halloween cards and treat bag, and zoomed straight into LOVE! I adore Halloween themed 'stuff' and yours, here, have me over the moon dazzled. Oh, how I would love to own the Bootastic set but...that darn Canadian dollar is holding me back! I'm planning to make a whole bunch of Halloween cards/tags and so on for my niece's kindergarten class (60...can you believe that number???) and nephew's daycare pals (about 20). You've given me ideas for sure! In awe...and delight...and dazzlement!

All of your projects are great Barb. The stamped bats on the white are perfect...I thought it was patterned paper. Love the orange accent too. That die is probably going on my list...I love those little bags. Your blending inks are fabulous, great color choices there. Welcome back.

Fabulous cards and bag, Barb. Your first is my fave, I'm loving Abandoned Coral right now and it blends so well with the other two colours (which I don't yet have!) I love the cute images and the great sentiment too. Great Halloween card x

I bet your grand-daughter loves getting your goodie bags!! My grandma used to send Show Bags to us from Australia and we couldn't wait to go thru them and see all the chocolates etc that we couldn't get in New Zealand. Just love your two cards. The blending on your first one is perfection. I just got the Abandoned Coral ink on Saturday and boy is it a gorgeous colour!! And your star die is brilliant on your second card, especially with the glitter background and your witch silhouette.
