CASology Challenge #178 - Merry

Hi there, blog friends! Another quick post with a card I created for this week's challenge at CASology! Here is my card:

I used some brand new dies on this card...Merry is from Mama Elephant, and the holly is from Paper Smooches.

I was happy with how my card turned out, and decided to get a head start for next year :) and create a 2nd card...this time I used red foil cardstock for the word, and Lawn Fawn Hats off to you Santa hat ~

And, that's it for me! I hope everyone is having a really fun holiday with family and friends! Thanks so much for stopping by,

Sparkle & Shine

Hi everyone ~

A really quick post today, to share a card I created for Virginia's View Challenge: All About Glitter! This is Virginia's last challenge, and I'm really going to miss it! I've been so busy this month (like all of you), so, at the eleventh hour, here is my card:

Here's a close-up of all that glitter and sparkle:

This card is approx. 5x7. I started by water coloring the SSS Single Roses, and added Wink of Stella, then used aqua glitter paper for the leaves and shadow on the PTI sentiment. I also used silver glitter paper, and Liquid Platinum EP on the stamped sentiment. And, that was it!

Thank you, Virginia...for all the work and love you have put into all of your challenges! It's been great FUN!!!

Since this is my last post before Christmas, I would just like to take a moment to wish all of my Christian blog friends a very Merry Christmas! I also hope all of my Jewish blog friends had a Happy Hanukkah! May the peace and joy of the season fill your homes with love and laughter! Thank you so much for stopping by, and for your very sweet comments! Happy Holidays, everyone!

Kiss, Kiss I Love You & A Little Sunshine

Hello there blog friends! A quick post tonight, to share two cards I created for a few challenges ~

My first card is for this week's challenge at Muse, and I'm so excited that my sweet blog friend, Michele Ferguson has inspired us with her really cute card:

And, here is my 'not-so-original' take on Michele's card:

I love Michele's embossed scalloped border and color combo, so I used an embossed panel that she actually sent me (thank you again!), and pulled out my cute little Mama Elephant Panda's for my focal point. The sentiment is from the same set, and the gold foil hearts are from their Confetti die. And, that was it!

My next card is for the current at SSS Flickr Challenge #34 for the theme 'All About Die Cutting', and the SSS Blog Wednesday Challenge...'Die Crazy'! I went shopping at SSS after winning the last Flickr challenge, and picked up a few dies, so I was ready to play along!

Our weather has gotten very cold with overcast skies, so I wanted to create something bright and fun with spring colors...I used a yellow card base so it would peek through the openings on the flowers, and stacked the die cut sentiment to add dimension. The enamel dots are from my DIY stash that I made with Perler Beads (see my tutorial Here).

That's it for me today...Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great week ahead as you get ready for Christmas!
