Twelve Days of Christmas Cards Challenge

Hello there, blog friends ~ To get everyone into the spirit of the holidays, Kylie Purtell is hosting the 'Twelve Days of Christmas Cards Challenge'! Kylie has invited several designers for inspiration, and she would love to have you play along with us!

One of my favorite stamps and dies to play with this year is the MFT 'Jingle All the Way' set...so many cute images to color, and today I'm playing with Santa and the Pup ~

I started by inking the stencil with SSS Smoke ink, then stamped and colored the images with Copic markers. I embossed the sentiment with white EP on black and added a few silver gems for sparkle. I also added a silver jingle bell to the dog collar for fun :)

So...please hop on over to Kylie's Blog for more information on the challenge! Happy Little Stampers, STAMPlorations and Create a Smile are among the Sponsors so there are some great prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

CASology Challenge - Candle; SSS Flickr Challenge - Make it a Happy Holiday Challenge

Hello again, blog friends ~
I can't resist inking up some of my new stamps, so I'm playing along with a few challenges...First up is CASology, and this week's Cue Card is 'Candle'.

I colored this magical dragon with Copic markers and added a touch of WOS to his wings. I used vellum for the candle flame (colored from behind with Copics), then gently inked a few clouds in the background. The Wonky Stitched Rectangles and Soft Stone card base seemed perfect for this design...and that was it!

My next card is for the current challenge at the SSS Flickr Group, and the theme is Make it a Happy Holiday. Of course, I'm way behind on my Christmas cards, so I created this card:

I used an old SSS stamp set for the snowflakes, and inked them up with Versamark for a tone-on-tone effect, then embossed the sentiment with Liquid Platinum EP. To color the inside of the letters, I used a dark blue Inktense pencil and added some WOS for sparkle. I like the CAS feel of this card, so I think I'll be using this design for mass production ~

Have a great weekend...Thanks so much for stopping by,

Two Cards & a Tag

Hello again ~ I'm back to post a few cards and a tag. I have to begin with an apology, as we have had overcast skies for the past several days, and I had to take my photos with a Light Box...no Bueno :)

My first card is for this week's Sketch Challenge at the MFT Blog:

I used Copic markers to color the fun little Elf and Christmas tree and mounted everything onto the fabulous embossed panel, sent to me by my sweet friend, Michele! Thanks again, Michele...the pattern and texture works so well with the elements on this card :)

My next card is for the current Tag You're It Challenge

I am swooning over Loll's tag...well actually, I feel that way about everything she creates! Here is my take on her tag:

I love her tag so much, that I actually CASE'D everything...the Northern Lights Sky with splattering, her color palette, and all the sparkle she added to her tag. I also spritzed a touch of  Perfect Pearls in water to add a shimmery effect to the sky. Very sparkly IRL :) Here's a close-up:

My last card is for the CAS on Sunday Challenge for the theme 'Christmas':

How sweet is this little Shephard Boy...LOVE!!! I'm a sucker for anything with a Nativity theme, so I grabbed my Copic markers and got busy. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and added clear EP for shine. No glitter, no gems, no enamel dots...Just a CAS card ~

So, that's it for me...thanks for hanging in there! If the sun peeks through in the next few days, I'll be back to replace these with better pics :)
Thanks so much for stopping by.
