CASEplorations with "The" Laura Bassen & SSS Flickr Challenge #35

There is no way I could resist CASEing Laura Bassen for the CASEplorations Challenge...No way! Luckily, I happen to own a few Stamplorations stencils, so I was all in...well, I thought so, anyway! This is my 3rd card, and half of a jar of embossing paste later, I had to let go of the lumps and bumps on some of the circles. I still don't know what I did wrong, so here is my final card ~

I used the Stamplorations Bubbles Stencil, and mixed embossing paste with several distress ink re-inkers. I just added the die cut and stamped sentiment, some silver thread and a few Rainstones...And that was it!

I would also like to share a card I created for SSS Flickr Challenge #35 - Wonderful Watercolors

I used Zig Clean Color markers to color the flowers, and added a touch of soft blue ink behind them to make them pop. I also watercolored the die cut sentiment with the same colors, and added a few tiny gold sequins.

Before I go, I just want to share some new info with you ~

These are both wonderful creations, Barb! You totally nailed Laura's style & your card was worth all the effort! Love the watercolored flowers. Did you use wc paper & did you add water after using the markers? I'm still trying to figure out how to use Zigs.

Lovely designs for both cards Barb, I really love how the orange shades stand out. Such a refreshing change now that Christmas has passed and Valentine's is not yet upon us.

Two beautiful cards Barb. LOVE the rainbow of colours on your stenciled and embossing paste card. I would find that so difficult to add the different colours of paste --- you did GOOD! Great little finishing touches too. :)

And your watercolour card is gorgeous and elegant. xx

What a gorgeous CASE of Laura's card, Barb ... you've captured her style so perfectly with those rainbow colors and the 'loosey goosey' thread nest ... it's brilliant! Beautiful blooms ... your watercolouring is awesome ... love how the sentiment matches them! I'm a happy Feedly follower ... so I'm not going anywhere ... what, and miss all this stunning inspiration ... no way, my friend! Hugs, Anita :)

Oh Barb! Half a jar of "frosting"... not good. Way too many calories ;) As for bumps, hey, they prove it's handmade. Actually, Laura's card with "Bubbles" (in Saturday's reminder post) has a few too! I love your colors, they just jump out of the gallery. Thanks so much for joining us this month at CASEplorations!

Fab CASE of Laura's card, Barb! (Most of us get lumps and bumps in our embossing paste.) Thanks for playing along at CASEplorations. I love your watercoloured flowers on your other card too.
