MFT Sketch Challenge; CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge

Hi there,
I thought it would be fun to play along with the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge this week with some of my new goodies ~

I masked the background to create the sky and hills, colored the images with Zig Clean Color Markers, and added Glossy Accents to the balloon. Here is a close-up (darkened a little so you can see the details):

After seeing Chrissy Larson's awesome sketch this week, I also wanted to play along at CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge and created two cards:

For my first card, I played with three shades of gray, and on the darkest one, I stamped the fox with white pigment ink. I embossed the sentiment with white EP, and for contrast, I added a bold pink panel.

I recently bought Concord & 9th Layering Leaves dies, and wanted to create an autumn themed take on the sketch:

I used Peerless watercolors for the leaves, and stitched rectangles for the angled panels. I stacked the leaves to create dimension and added a natural jute bow.

Here are the lovely sketches I used for my inspiration:

As always, thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week,

WOW, Barb...a trio of gorgeous! The wee fox is darling (I was 'this close' to doing something similar, but time is running away on me); the C9 leaves are gorgeous, and your dragon and princess? Oh my stars...heart captivated! You are creating magic, my friend!

ALL so fabulous Barb! Your sweet little pastel coloured scene is perfection (I am always such a 'bright' colour girl that this has made me stop and think), I can also see why you have those die cut leaves, they are so special and so is your card!

Two cards for us this week? How awesome are you?!!! LOve how your little fox came to life with the white pigment ink ... but {OH be still my leaf loving heart!} those C&9th leaves are among my favorite this Autumn! I would be lying if I didn't say I love the whimsical dragon and Princess, too ... oh how I miss shopping at MFT!!!

A tremedndous trio. Your first card is so whimsical--perfect for a young princess. Love the kind and friendly dragon. Your fox looks so content resting upon his die cut pads. Really striking in white.

Your MFT card is so adorable! You created a super sweet scene, Barb! I love the color choice of the second card! Pink and grey together is always right :)! And the leaves from concord&9th are so beautiful! Great take on the sketch from CTS!

Wowie wow, Barb. I'm in awe of your wonderful cards. The dragon and princess are beautifully colored in soft pastels reminiscent of a fairy book. Card two uses a similar color combo that I chose for my CTS card, yet to be posted, and I am so bummed that the layering leaves are out of stock at SSS. They are absolutely gorgeous!

Love your little fairy world. You did an amazing job coloring so softly with the Zigs.

You are so creative, Barb! I've had to force myself not to buy those C&9 leaves, but that may not last--adore your card!
