CASology Challenge - Kindness

Hi there blog friends! I've been MIA enjoying Christmas with my family, and it's been a blast! If I haven't visited your blog lately, please be patient...I promise to get caught up asap :)

CASology is hosting a 2-week challenge and their cue card is 'Kindness'. Since I'm lucky enough to have the MFT Kindness die, I was eager to play along ~

These beautiful leaves are from the MFT Geometric Greenery stamp set and I thought they would work well with the camouflage die cut technique. I used pink and gray (my favorite color combo) and added the 'r' to the sentiment with a fine marker. A wonky stitched border and a few sequins, and this puppy was done and dusted :)

Here is a close up:

As the year comes to a close, I want to thank you all for your sweet comments and wonderful heartfelt, friendships! How blessed we are to have such a great hobby ~
I wish everyone a New Year filled with love, peace, and good health!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology - Gray; Muse Card Club

Hi there ~ A quick post today to share a few cards before these challenges close...First is a card I created for CASology for the cue card 'Gray'

I inked the die cut trees with several shades of gray to create a gradation of color, and added a sentiment and a few gems...easy peasy!

This week's Muse is Tracey McNeely, and she created this beauty to inspire us:

The sentiment was stamped and embossed with clear EP and the berries were made with Nuvo Drops.

Addicted to CAS Challenge - Code Word: Sparkle

Hi there, blog friends! It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS and the code word is 'Sparkle'

This time of year it's not hard to put a little 'sparkle' on a Christmas card:

Here's a better shot at the sparkle in the background:

I dotted the sky with my glue pen and added ultra-fine glitter.

Don't ya just love an interactive card?

My granddaughter will love this card. I created it by using the new MFT Ski-sons Greetings stamps and dies. The trees are from Oh Christmas Trees and I used Copic markers for the bear and that cute little hat that's flying through the air!
We hope you'll stop by the ATCAS Blog for some inspiration and that you'll join us for the challenge ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Watercolor; CAS on Friday

Hi there ~
I've been MIA for the last 2 weeks getting ready for the holidays, but I love playing in challenges and couldn't resist joining in a few...

First up is a card for CAS Watercolor December Challenge for the theme 'Anything Goes'

For this 5" x 7" card, I used Peerless Watercolors (love how they blend) for the background and MFT Ski-Sons Greetings for the bear and sentiment. The stitched snow drifts are also by MFT and the splatters were created with Copic opaque white paint. Lastly, I colored the bear with Copic markers.

**************************************

My 2nd card is for this week's challenge at CAS on Friday for the theme 'Christmas'

Here, I used the mistletoe from MFT Grateful stamp set, Joy die and the ornament from Happy Pawlidays. I colored the ornament with Copic markers and added Pico Embellisher to give it some shine. The bow is from Clearly Besotted Stamps Ornamental Style set...and that was it!

I'll be back tomorrow to share a card for the next challenge at ATCAS...hope to see you then ~
Thanks so much for stopping by.,,I appreciate it very much and I always enjoy reading your comments!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #125 - Sweets!

Hi there, blog friends! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and our Hostess, Ceal has chosen the new code word:

Here is my take on this code word:

For my 'sweets', I used Altenew Way Too Sweet images and partial sentiment and colored everything with Copic markers. I added Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the center ice cream pop and glossy accents on the cone. I also used a silver glitter pen on the sprinkles, and glitter cardstock for the die cut sentiment.

FYI: This challenge marks our 5th anniversary as a challenge blog, and I couldn't be more proud of Kylie and my amazingly talented teammates for making ATCAS a success! To celebrate the occasion, we have 2 Sponsors who are offering prizes to the winners ~ Happy Little Stampers and Create a Smile Stamps
We hope you'll stop by the ATCAS Blog for some inspiration and that you'll join us for our celebration!

CASology Challenge #276

Hi there ~ I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! I don't know about you, but I'm stuffed :)
This week's cue card at CASology is 'Cheer', so I thought I would play along!

Here is my take on the cue card ~

I used PTI 'Uncorked' stamps, embossing the sentiment in silver and the bottle in Hero Arts Grape Juice ink. I added just a few clear sparkly gems and used MFT Blueprints 24 for the stitched border. Lastly, I mounted the panel on to PTI Luxe Silver cardstock... and that was it!

Let it Snow!!!

Hi everyone ~
There's nothing like a few fun challenges to get that mojo flowing, so I am back to share a tag and two cards that I created over the past few days ~

First up is a tag for the MUSE Christmas Visions Challenge #89 for a Christmas or winter themed tag in collaboration with Tracey’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 15. I am also entering this tag into Loll’s 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge - Day 12.

For this tag, I used Distress Inks with the smooshing technique for the background, Copic markers for the house and trees, heat embossing, acrylic paint (splatters) and die cutting.

This week's Cue Card at CASology is 'Sharp'...I think the antlers on the Stag look quite sharp, so I hope it works for the Cue ~

My sweet blog friend Sarah Gray,  created this beautiful Stag stencil, and when I saw how she recently used it on several cards, I decided to purchase it through her Folksy Shop. I used Pumice Stone distress ink for the Stag and Versafine and clear embossing powder for the sentiment. I will be using this card as a thank you for Christmas gifts, so I added the jingle bells and twine from my stash.

My last card is for 2 challenges: Muse Card Club #242 and this week our Muse is Ardyth, who created this beautiful Christmas card to inspire us ~

And, my card ~

I focused on Ardyth’s:
- Die Cut Tree
- Color Combo

I am also entering this card into the Happy Little Stampers November Challenge for the theme 'Anything Goes with Dies’
I used SSS White Glimmery cardstock and I added small sparkly sequins to some of the tree branches.

So, that's it for me! Have a great week ahead ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Watercolor and Muse Card Club Challenges

Hi all ~ Even though my mojo is really low right now, I love a good challenge and wanted to play along in a few of my favorites :)

First up is the November CAS Watercolor Challenge for the theme 'Holiday':

My card...

I can't get enough of this holly leaf die, so I started by using distress inks to color the leaves and added splatters with white ink. I embossed the sentiment and mounted everything on a white woodgrain panel and added a few Nuvo Drops for a pop of color...done and dusted!

My 2nd card is for this week's challenge at Muse. Here is the beautiful card Anita created to inspire us:

My take on Anita's card:

This is my new favorite Christmas themed embossing folder, gifted to me by my lovely friend, Michele...it's hard to see the depth of the impression on screen, but in person, it is AMAZING!
So, I embossed the panel and watercolored the holly dies, then fiddled with the sentiment to shape it to fit the banner. A few red gems, and this card was completed.

I focused on Anita's:
- Embossed panel
- CAS Layout

Have a great week, everyone ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #124

Hi there ~ Mr. Mojo has left town, so I've been getting the house ready for the holidays and working on some 'tried and true' designs for my Christmas cards ~

Thankfully, it's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and we have a really fun code word:

STAMPlorations is our Sponsor, and Shery is offering a $10.00 GC to the store for the winner! We hope you'll find time to join us...Here is my take on the code word:

I love silver EP, but it hates the camera :) My sentiment reads 'Believe in the Magic of Christmas'. This is one of my favorite SSS dies and I love that it can be used all year long. Just for a change, I thought it would be fun to use non-traditional colors, so that's what I did!

We have a lovely and super talented Guest Designer for this challenge - Laurel S. and she has created a beautiful card to inspire everyone...Feel free to swing by and see what my fabulous teamies have created as well ~
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge - Leaves

Hi all,
I'm back to share a card for the latest challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Our Hostess this time is the super talented Anja, and she has chosen 'Leaves' for the code word!

Karren J. won the last challenge, so she is our Guest Designer. And, don't forget that we always have a great prize for the winner...this time Happy Little Stampers is our Sponsor and Kylie is offering a $15.00 gift certificate to her store :) We hope you'll consider playing along with us!
Here is my card:

I love this sweet MFT stamp set...the images are so charming and it's a great opportunity to practice my Copic coloring skills. I stenciled the background with Grout Gray to showcase all the pretty fall colors on the leaves and stamped the sentiment in dark blue for a change.

So, that's it for me...I hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start ~

Happy Pawlidays!

Hi there, blog friends ~
I have two cards to share ...My first card is for Freshly Made Sketches, using this cute little Christmas pup stamp from MFT.

I used Copic markers to color the puppy and added Glossy Accents to the light bulbs. The berries on the wreath were made with Nuvo drops and the die cut sentiment was cut with gold foil. Also, the striped paper is from WRMK...acetate and gold foil...so pretty IRL.

*******************

For the past week, I've been hunting through my stash for a sentiment for the CASology cue card (Sorry), and shortly after I finished my first card, I found it! The irony is the pup from my first card works perfectly for this card, so I decided to use it again...hope you don't mind :)

This time I colored the pup in light brown and I also changed the colors on the Christmas tree lights. The brick background was stenciled in grout gray and the sentiment was stamped using MFT Label Maker Sentiments.
That's it for me...have a wonderful week ahead!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
