CASology Challenge - Bear - Take 2!

Hi there ~ I'm back with another card for this week's CASology challenge. While perusing my stamps, I ran across another really cute set of bears, and couldn't resist creating another card :)

Who could resist this little guy carrying his colorful leaf like a banner and sharing a sweet sentiment for a dear friend? Not me! So, I colored him with Copic markers, added a little sparkle and placed him on a stack of alphas. Lastly, I used a stitched scallop border to frame my design...and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge #306 - Bear

Hi there blog friends ~ I'm back to share a card I created for this week's challenge at CASology. I dug out one of my all-time favorite 'bears' and inked her up for my card:

As a gift for a purchase from Taylored Expressions, I received this cute little pocket...so, I used a cheesecloth background stamp and blended light blue ink on the edges to create a denim look. I popped the bear in so that she looks like she's peeking out to say hello and placed both elements on a wonky stitched panel. A sweet sentiment embossed with Liquid Platinum, and this card was done :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #139 - Girl Power

Hello again, blog friends! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, and this time we've got some 'Girl Power'! I love to bake, so when I saw these Ellen Hutson 'Baker Lady' stamps, I had to have them :)

A little Copic coloring and some sparkle for the chocolate icing, and this CAS card was finished! Of course, I was dying to stamp some confetti and a few balloons, but they would take up all of my white space...next time, right?

We have a super talented Guest Designer for this challenge ~ Cindy Chiu from Escape to Stamping, and as always, Happy Little Stampers is awarding a $20.00 GC to the winner! So, if you would like to show off your Girl Power, we would love to see it in our gallery!

Have a great weekend ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Since the cue card is 'Jumpy', I thought it was the perfect time to ink up my new (to me) 'Ewe and Me Forever' stamp set ~

How cute is that little sheep? I colored her with Copic markers and popped her up with an Action Wobble. I also created the grass using Copic markers and a ruler...something different, right?

That's it for me...I hope everyone is having a great week ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some amazing cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

CASology Challenge #304 - Pearl

Hi there ~ I'm stopping in today with a quick post to share a card for this week's challenge at CASology. I haven't played along for the past few weeks, so I was really excited to see the Cue Card is 'Pearl' ~

I started with a panel of SSS Sea Glass cardstock (white space doesn't have to be white, right?). I've had a jar of Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste in my stash for ages, so I used it with the Wave of Stars stencil to create a trail for the butterfly...here is a close-up:

I colored the butterfly with Copics and finished with the sentiment, both from Altenew Dream Big stamp and die set.

June "Twofer" Challenge!

Hi all ~ It's time for Darnell's June Twofer Challenge, and this month the prompt is 'Trees'!

And, here are the rules:

I love playing along with this challenge, and I think it's because it really IS a challenge! I had an NBUS stamp set in my stash, so of course, it was the best excuse to ink it up :)

For my one layer 'Friendship' card, I created a mask with an oval die and did some ink blending fading out on the upper right. I deliberately kept it CAS by refraining from adding gems or enamel dots...

For my monochromatic Christmas card, I did more ink blending, this time in shades of blue/green. I stamped the trees, leaving them bare, and added a sweet little bird using the same colors.

And, here they are together ~

If you're looking for a really fun challenge, look no further than Darnell's Twofer Challenge...there's still plenty of time to play along, and I know she would love to see your take on her latest prompt!

Have a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

A few more CAS Challenges

Hello again, blog friends ~
I'm back to share a quick post for 2 of my favorite challenges. First up is the CAS Christmas June Challenge, and the theme is Masculine

I love, love, love this Stag Stencil and I think it's perfect for a masculine Christmas card. I inked the stencil with Delicata Gold and added a thin gold foil border before mounting it on a black card base.
If you are interested, you can buy this and other stencils at Sarah Gray's Folksy Store.

Next is a card I created for the CAS Watercolor June Challenge for the theme 'Ocean':

I started by creating a wash with Peerless Watercolors in a few shades of blue and aqua. After stamping the fish and seaweed, I colored the mermaid with Copic markers and added a few bubbles with PTI Rainstones. And that was it!

I started by using my Scor-Pal to score lines every 1/2 inch from behind the panel. I die cut the stitched flowers in 3 shades of pink and when I stamped the sentiment in Versafine ink I embossed it with clear EP to give it a little shine. A few enamel dots and this card was done and dusted :)

Fusion Card Challenge - Floral Cupcakes

Hi there ~ It's time for another fun challenge at Fusion and our theme is 'Floral Cupcakes'! I love the inspiration photo for this challenge so I decided to combine those beautiful cupcakes with the sketch.

I don't have any lace stamps, so I decided to keep my design very CAS and add a stone gray panel beneath the cement gray sentiment strip. Everything on my card is from two older Mama Elephant sets so with some simple Copic coloring, clear EP on the sentiment, and a few gems, this card was completed rather quickly!

If you have some time, feel free to stop over at the Fusion Challenge Blog and play along. My teamies have created some beautiful cards, and as always, you are welcome to use the sketch and/or the inspiration photo for your design :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,
