Fusion Card Challenge - Daisies

It's time for another Fusion Challenge, and this time our theme is 'Daisies'! Remember ~ you may choose the sketch or inspiration photo or both, and this time, I chose both!

I don't have any formal 'daisy' stamps or dies, but this flower from the MFT Stitched Flowers dies seem to work well. I stamped the polka dots with Versamark and let it dry to get a tone-on-tone look showcasing the blue vase in the photo. The circle was made using vellum and wonky stitched circles and to jazz it up a bit, I added a thin strip of gold foil between the polka dot pattern and card base.

Be sure to check out all the beautiful cards my teamies created to inspire you on the Fusion Blog...and while you're there, we would love to see your take on the challenge :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge - Sports

Hi there ~ I haven't played along with the CASology Challenge lately, so when I saw their latest cue card I made sure I took the time to create a card.

Since I don't have any sports-related stamps, I went shopping in the Silhouette Store and found this cute little gymnast. I started with a stitched panel, then blended Tumbled Glass ink for the background. I used black textured cardstock for the image and gold embossing powder for the stars (so sorry for the glare).

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #143 - Berries

Hi all...it’s time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our Hostess is Bobby and she has chosen the Code Word Berries.
Our Guest Designer is Asa and she has created a gorgeous card to inspire everyone!
As always, our Sponsor is Happy Little Stampers, and Kylie is offering the winner a generous $20. GC to the store!

This is a new to me stamp set from PTI...except for the sequins, it's a one layer card, which I love for mailing :) I started by blending Tumbled Glass DI on to the upper half of the panel, then I stamped the berries and leaves with Altenew inks and the sentiment with Versafine and clear embossing powder for shine. And, that was it!

Ok, now we would love to see how the code word 'Berries' inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, please feel free to visit the ATCAS Blog

August Twofer Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! This is my 2nd post today. For the CAS Christmas Card Challenge go Here.

It's time for another Twofer Challenge and I'm so glad that Darnell has chosen Geometric for her theme. If you haven't played along yet, here are the rules for the challenge:

I thought it would be fun to use the large Wonky Stitched Peek-a-Boo die for my geometric shape:

For my 'Birthday' card, I used stencils to create soft clouds and sun rays for the sky and 3 different sets for the scene. I colored the images and branches with Copic markers, then popped everything up on a stone gray card base.

For my 'Feel Better' card, I decided to create a shaker ~

I started by ink blending the background with distress inks and used an NBUS set by MFT called Gill Friends for the fishes and sentiment.

A pic of both cards together for Darnell's Challenge Blog:

There is still another week to play along if you're interested...I'm sure Darnell would love to see your take on 'Geometrics' ~

CAS Christmas Challenge - Reminder

Hi everyone,
Today is the reminder for the August CAS Christmas Challenge...there's still one more week to play along! For this post, I used one of my favorite Christmas trees ~

I started by embossing the tree in white, then used distress inks in 2 shades of green and gold foil for the star. I also blended Tumbled Glass ink, popped the tree up with foam tape and mounted it to the cross-stitch oval mat. I added a few sparkly sequins and embossed the sentiment in gold...and that was it :)

December will be here before we know it, and we would love to have you join us by submitting a card to the gallery!  A big thank you to Loll and Bonnie for having me along as their Guest Designer for August...it has been such an honor!

Fusion Card Challenge - Galaxy

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is Galaxy.

I had a lot of fun creating this card...I used the sketch for the design and created the galaxy background based on the inspiration photo with distress inks, adding a few gold splatters with Gansai Starry Watercolors. I colored my little astronaut with Copic markers and embossed the sentiment on dark gray cardstock. And that was it :)

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some amazing cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Watercolor August Challenge

Hi there! All of Loll & Bonnie's Challenges are real favorites of mine, so once again I'm playing along with their CAS Watercolor Challenge. I rummaged through my stash and found an old sunflower stamp, and I think it's perfect for watercoloring (even though it's not labeled and I have no idea which company makes it).

I started by embossing the sunflower with white EP on watercolor paper, then colored the petals, stems, and leaves with Koi Watercolors. I embossed the sentiment, added a few sequins, and mounted the panel onto a white card base...and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate your visits and all of your lovely comments ~

Muse Card Challenge #277

Hi there ~
I'm back with a quick post to share a card I created for this week's challenge at Muse. Tristan is Guest Designer and she has created this gorgeous card to inspire us:

And here is how I was inspired by her design:

Instead of using a flower for my card, I grabbed my NBUS 'Toucan Do It' stamps and dies from MFT, and colored the Toucan and leaf with Copic markers. Tristan embossed the background panel, but I chose to emboss inside the aperture and tried Jen McGuire's technique from THIS VIDEO. I also loved how she added the rolled thread, so I added some in the corner of the wonky frame. Lastly, I added a googly eye with eyelashes, so I guess she's a girl :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Toucan Do It
Dies: MFT - Toucan Do It, Peek-a-Boo Wonky Stitched Window
Misc: PTI - Rustic Burlap Cover Plate; Copic markers; DNC Thread; Googly Eye

Addicted to CAS Challenge #142 - Masculine

Hi all...it’s time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our Hostess is Ellenor and she has chosen the Code Word 'Masculine'!
Our Guest Designer is...Hannelie!!!
Our Sponsor is Happy Little Stampers, and they are offering the winner a $20. GC to the store.

For my design, I CASE'd This Card (with consent) by my sweet blog friend, Karren ~

I loved Karren's CAS design with stenciling in the lower left corner. To make this a more masculine card, I used Tumbled Glass DI for the grid pattern and MFT Nightshift Blue cardstock for the die cut sentiment. Lastly, I stacked the copper foil leaves and popped them up with foam squares.

If you're in need of a masculine card, we would love to have you join us in the ATCAS gallery...hope to see you there ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

August CAS Christmas Challenge

Hi there blog friends! I am honored to share with you that I was asked to be the Guest Designer for the August CAS Christmas Card Challenge! I enjoy playing along every month and usually create a few cards while I have my supplies out. Their theme for August is 'Tree', so I grabbed some NBUS stamps and dies and got started on my card ~

For the trees, I used MFT Oh Christmas Tree. I created the ombre effect with my inks, then spritzed them with Shimmer Spray. I embossed the sentiment and flourish with gold EP and added a few gold sequins...and that was it :)

I have a package of SSS tree stencils in my stash, so I created another card:

I stenciled the trees with pastel inks and spritzed them with Shimmer Spray, then stamped the sentiment in light gray. Here is a close-up of the sparkle on the trees:

As always, Loll, Bonnie, and the Design Team have created some gorgeous cards to inspire everyone and since the challenge lasts until the 24th, we would love to have you stop by the Challenge Blog and join us!

Fusion Challenge - Rustic Flowers

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our theme is 'Rustic Flowers'! I decided to go with the sketch and use the colors on the blooms in the inspiration photo:

I started by using Versamark to ink the stone gray panel with a woodgrain stamp and swiping the thin strip (also with Versamark), and not adding any clear embossing powder. I thought wildflowers could be considered 'rustic', so I inked the flower petals in pale peach and used coral for the flower center. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and added a few silver sequins...and that was it!

We would love to have you join us at the Fusion Challenge! My fellow teammates have created some amazing cards to inspire everyone, and since the challenge lasts 2 weeks, there's plenty of time to play along ~
