Fusion Challenge - Rustic Flowers

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our theme is 'Rustic Flowers'! I decided to go with the sketch and use the colors on the blooms in the inspiration photo:

I started by using Versamark to ink the stone gray panel with a woodgrain stamp and swiping the thin strip (also with Versamark), and not adding any clear embossing powder. I thought wildflowers could be considered 'rustic', so I inked the flower petals in pale peach and used coral for the flower center. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and added a few silver sequins...and that was it!

We would love to have you join us at the Fusion Challenge! My fellow teammates have created some amazing cards to inspire everyone, and since the challenge lasts 2 weeks, there's plenty of time to play along ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies
Stamps: Altenew - Wildflower Garden; MFT - Wood Plank Background Stamp; Clearly Besotted - Accent It
Cardstock: PTI - Stampers Select White; MFT - Stone Gray
Ink: Versamark; MFT - Peach Bellini, Coral Crush; Altenew - Just Green
Misc: Pretty Pink Posh - Silver Metallic Sequins

Your wood-grain panel of gray grabbed my attention immediately, Barb - surprised? Isn't that VersaMark a great ink - we all need to follow your lead to use it in this way!
A beautiful bloom, for a beautiful card!

How lovely this is. I forgot how good it looks to ink up a pattern with Versamark. And your flower is so elegant.

Love wildflowers. Love the woodgrain, not only on the card but behind the card too. ;)
