It’s official ~ I’m addicted to embossing paste! So, this morning when I saw Laura Bassen’s Video where she mixed 2 shades of pink paint with embossing paste to create an ombre effect with falling hearts, I just had to try it on a card. On this card, I used white embossing paste on the diagonal stencil, then after coloring the glass (that’s supposed to be pink champagne, by the way), I mixed up some paste with pink paint to give the effect of 'bubbles’.
I used Chrissy Larson's sketch for this week’s challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch #56 and I would also like to enter this card into the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. Our theme for this week is to create a Clean & Simple card.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Thank you all so much for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, Barb! I have still to try embossing paste out - it does give such a lovely effect :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Bubbles, Barb, this is SO a winner! It is perfect in every single detail!! WOWZA!
ReplyDeleteYou will smack yourself in the forehead when I tell you that the definition for NBUS is on my side bar and also in my blog banner, LOL. It means "never-before-used schtuff" because I have a shameless boatload of it in the Playhouse and setting up this little "movement" has really helped me to ink up virginal stamps, cut into paper, and curl up ribbon that has been neglected (all the while buying even MORE NBUS ~ you know how it goes!) So that's it. I'd love it if you identify which schtuff on your creations is NBUS, too! Lots of other stampers have taken up the acronym in their posts. It feels really good to used your NBUS, provided you have any. Some stampers are great at not putting new schtuff away until after it's been used, but you know me, with O(rganized C(rafting) D(isorder), I can't stand clutter around, so mine gets put away and then, sadly, sometimes forgotten. Thanks for asking!!
Sorry this is so long. I didn't see any email address on your blog. Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Darnell
I'm always amazed at how quickly you try the new techniques, Barb! Fun, fun card!
