CAS(E) This Sketch #59

Hello everyone! I created this card for this week’s challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. Instead of using my feather stamps and dies, I decided to go with this cute set which was a freebie (with purchase) at Papertrey Ink, and place the flowers and leaves on an angle to mimic the sketch. I also tried to channel my inner ‘Laura Bassen’ by adding some silver thread behind my focal point :-) I think I may have been a little shy about it, though...but, it is there!


I used Hero Arts Mint Julep for the leaves and paired it with 3 other colors for the flowers. To make the white panel pop, I used my MFT Blu Raspberry cardstock for the card base.

    Squeeel! Love it! Silver thread? Oh, no!!! Now I need some silver thread! I've just been using white all this time....now I need silver and gold and neon colors...so they make neon thread, LOL! Look what you did, Barb:)

    I really am growing fond of feathers but it's a trend that has taken me a while to attach to.... so for me, I'm glad you chose these beautiful flowers, and the colours are truly one of my fave colour combos! Another great card Barb!

    i'm not into the feather trend yet altho i do like PTI's feather release this month so... really love how you used flowers instead - and the silver thread is a perfect addition!

    So clean and so sharp, Barb! A wonderful take on the sketch and on channeling your inner Laura!! I don't know what made me look, but for some reason I noticed I wasn't following your blog, which was a huge oversight!! I always try to follow blogs that follow me and, even if you weren't, I really thought I was a follower and had been for a long time. You should have said something! Anyway, tis all good now!
