Hi everyone,
I hope you are all doing well! I've had a rough day...around lunch time, I received a call from a sweet friend letting me know that my email account had been hacked! Suffice it to say that I have a lot of work to do switching over to a different account, but I will post an update here when I'm all set :)
On the lighter side, I created a card for the current challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. The sketch was created by N@ Ali, and with some new goodies, I couldn't wait to get started:
I decided to flip the sketch 90 degrees, as I thought it would work better for this new stamp set by Clearly Besotted. I used pastel shadow inks on each one, and added a few small clear gems just to jazz it up a little. I also added my brand new Watermark created by Kylie Purtell ~ It was a special gift to all of us on her Design Team! I Love it!!!
A special thanks to all of you who let me know here and at the Hero Arts Flickr Group that my email was compromised...you girls ROCK! You really do!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by ~
Barb
So so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI love those trendy ornaments, Barb! Fab colors and so fun how you flipped the sketch! ♥
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Barb ... such delicious colours ... love the way you rounded diagonally opposite corners to mimic the ornaments ... fabulous! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous card. I did get the strange email from you but realise it was spam so just deleted it immediately. It's a real pain when you get hack like that... Hope you are all set up again.
ReplyDeleteSo fun and trendy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Barb!!!
ReplyDeleteFeeling for you, Barb - having your email hacked is one thing, but all the extra work that goes along with fixing a problem you didn't create is a headache. I, too, received the strange email, but deleted it immediately. Glad that you retreated to your crafting zone to put things into perspective, creating a most lovely card for us to gaze at, admire and adore! Sooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
fabulous take on the sketch, barb! (hope you are getting the email thing straightened out!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Barb! I love the non traditional colors with the touch of purple ( my favorite!) :) Those ornaments are so cute and flipping the design worked perfectly for your card! So sorry you had to deal with those pesky email hackers! Hope everything is put right soon! ((Hugs my friend!))
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful card. Those ornaments are really very fun, and I love how you flipped the sketch. I am so sorry to hear about your email. It happened to me a few years ago, and recovering from it was such a time suck and nightmare. I was on Yahoo, and switched to gmail, and have been safe ever since. Honestly, I don't know why people do things like that. Hang tight!
ReplyDeleteBarb your card is so perfect for the sketch and you used the new Clearly Besotted, I just love the colours you chose! Those hackers obviously haven't found something wonderful to do like making cards! So sorry for you!
ReplyDeletebeautifully done and love the watermark!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Barb. So sorry about the hacking...a pain in the posterior.
ReplyDeleteHow horrible people can be on the internet and what a pain for you to have to fix up...yay for the girls letting you know! I just love the colours you used for this card and that stamp set is fantastic. Brilliant take on the sketch!!

ReplyDeleteOh what a bummer, Barb! I know my uncle has been hacked more than once & told me it was due to Facebook--another reason I don't do Facebook--LOL! Anyway--your card is wonderful--love how you used the sketch!
