Addicted to Stamps Challenge #120

Hi everyone,
It's Team A's turn this week at Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge, and we have a Photo Inspiration to get your creative juices flowing! Here is the photo:

When I saw this gorgeous red Christmas ornament and gold ribbon, I grabbed one of my ornament dies and created a stencil. Here is my first card, which is a very literal interpretation:

So, after I die cut the stitched mat, I placed the stencil on my card front panel, and inked it with Worn Lipstick. But, I realized it needed more punch, so I gave it a few coats of Festive Berries Distress ink, and that was it! I added the dainty gold bow, a sentiment and a few gold stars, then mounted it onto a red scalloped card base...crisp, clean and simple.

When I looked at all the beautiful digital images from Stamp Art Design, I decided to use the bold red and pops of gold as my inspiration for another card:

For this card, I used my Copic markers, and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant 'Water Blooms'. The tiny gold gems are from an old package from Prima.

The winner of this challenge will receive five free digital stamps from Stamp Art Design! I hope you'll take the time to stop over at the challenge blog to see what my amazing teammates have created to inspire you!

On another note...

Those of you that follow my blog regularly may have noticed I have recently changed my watermark for my cards and signature on my posts.  Previously, I created my own, but I was never really happy with how it turned out. The watermark I am currently using was created by the sweet and super-talented  Kylie Purtell, who also happens to be my 'boss' at Addicted to Stamps and More.

For a small fee, Kylie will happily create a customized Watermark,  Signature and/or Blog Header for you.  Here are her details...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
