Muse Card Challenge #114 & Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #17

Hi everyone ~ I have two cards to share for a few challenges. The first is the Muse Card Challenge and this week Marion Vagg has provided us with a card for inspiration. Here is my card:

A rather literal interpretation, but I do love this butterfly die. I used Distress inks for the small panel, and die cut the butterfly from the PTI set 'Life is Beautiful'. I then cut the solid die cut from vellum, and added a few gems and sequins. The card base was embossed with PTI's Linen/Canvas Impression Plate. It's difficult to see the texture (at least on my screen), so here is a close-up:

I'm also playing along with the SSS Flickr Challenge, which is a color challenge. Here is my card:

For this card, I used my SSS Stencil 'Bouquet of Flowers' and Hero Arts Shadow inks. The sentiment is from the SSS/Mama Elephant stamp set 'Summer Garden' and the die cut banner is by Lifestyle Crafts. I am also entering this card into SSS Wednesday Challenge for the theme, Clean & Simple.

That's it for me...Thanks so much for stopping by,

  8. Oh, Lisa. Both of these are just gorgeous. I love how you took the Muse card and changed it up a bit with your inking. Wish I had thought of that twist. And, your stenciled card is just beautiful. Love how you masked and got more depth in your flower.
