Addicted to CAS Challenge #82

Hi there ~

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, and our Code Word is 'Home'
Here are a few more details about the challenge:

Guest Designer: Beate Rauer
Our Hostess: Yours Truly
Sponsor: Create a Smile Stamps - $15 Gift Card to the store

I was asked to select a Code Word for this challenge, and I chose 'Home'. Here is my first card using the camouflage technique:

Lately, I've been using the stitched rectangle that comes with the MFT Blueprints 13 set...I think it leaves just the right amount of border for an A2 card base. I used my W&W NBUS stamps and dies to create this card. The die cut sentiment is stacked x3, and it's hard to see in the photo, but the sequins are gold. And, that's it...CAS, and perfect for our friends who are purchasing a new home!

*****

As the Hostess for this challenge, I decided to create a second card:

For this card, I created the border with PTI Fabulous Frames die, then stamped and die cut the house with Polka Dot Parade 'Home' set. The wavy banner is from Lifestyle Crafts...and, that's it!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you'll find a few minutes to check out the challenge over at Addicted to CAS, and play along!
Have a great weekend,

  9. Such a charming challenge, Barb, and you've created two delights as inspiration. The little house in your first card: exactly what I want in real life! Maybe, one of these days...Of course, the camouflaged hello adds such charm! As for your second card...hey, I'll take a house like that, too *grin* The polka-dot home...oh my! Love these! I'm don't think I have any 'home' products in my collection, but I'll do my best to figure out a something. Hmmm...perhaps a some patterned paper as a start...

  15. Love both of your cards. Very clever with the camoflaged die cut on the first and that sweet little house on your second. I really love the code word you chose--I have been collecting house stamps for a long time--and don't use them nearly enough, so I plan to enter a couple of times. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
