CAS Christmas - December Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It's a new challenge over at CAS Christmas, and this month the theme is 'Stars'! I love the movement in this starry stamp, so I was happy to ink it up again and play along!

I started by stenciling the cloudy sky, then die cut this NBUS Christmas Angel with white glitter cardstock. I stamped the stars and sentiment with Liquid Platinum EP and placed the panel on to an A2 card base.

So, that's it for me...head on over and check out all of the gorgeous cards Loll, Bonnie and their team created for this month's challenge ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko - Reach for the Stars; MFT - Hand Lettered Christmas (sentiment)
Dies: Stamplorations - Christmas Angel
Stencil: MFT - Mini-Clouds
Misc: SSS - White Glitter Cardstock; Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder

Always & Forever

Hi there ~ I'm back with a quick post to share a card before CASology closes their doors for this weeks' challenge:)

Here is what I came up with...

Hubby and I will be married 44 years in January, so I thought combining the ampersand and sentiment would work well for an anniversary card. I used gold embossing powder for all the stamping, dry embossed a border to create a frame, and added a few gold sequins...and that was it :)

Have a great week, everyone ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: SSS - Forever and Always; Paper Smooches - Ampersand
Dies: Paper Smooches - Ampersand
Misc: Ranger - Super Fine Gold EP; Pretty Pink Posh - Gold Sequins; Scor-Pal; WRMK - Stylus

MFT 2017 World Cardmaking Day Challenges

 Hi there,
I'm back to share four cards I created for the WCMD challenges at MFT...since it's a photo heavy post, I will keep the chatter to a minimum :)

The theme for Challenge #1 is ROYGBIV

I created this card using MFT Big Balloons Stencil and thought it would be fun to use this shape instead of the usual round shape. I added glitter to the die cut sentiment and finished with the stitched frame from Blueprints 15.

The theme for Challenge #2 is DIE-NAMICS DESIGNS

I blended my ink to create an ombre effect and added Star Dust Stickles to add some sparkle to this card. Plain vellum for the champagne glasses and gold foil for the die cut sentiment...no stamping!

The theme for Challenge 3 is BY THE NUMBERS

The 'Free with $60.' 'Thank You' when I ordered the MFT September Card Kit was the pop-up numbers I used for this card...I used Blueprints 26 for the remainder of the elements on this card except for the patterned paper on the '40' which is from Tiny Hearts Brights.

The theme for Challenge #4 is MAKE & MAIL

It's hard for me to create 4 cards in 2 days (it sometimes takes me a few days to create one), but it helped to have the flowers and leaves already stamped and cut in my stash :) To keep it simple I added the soft polka dot vellum paper and a lovely sentiment from the Beautiful Blooms set.

I also stamped my envelope for mailing ~

As a 'thank you' to celebrate this years' anniversary at MFT, I received a really cute stamp set, so I chose one to use on my envelope.

That's it for me...I hope everyone had a great weekend and a really fun WCMD!

Please don't feel obligated to comment on each card...just saying 'Hello' is truly appreciated...Thanks! And, thank you so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge #256 - Pizza

Hello again ~ I'm back to share a card I created for this week's challenge at CASology, and I LOVE the Cue Card:

Remember the Mario Brothers video game? My kids were obsessed with it! So, when I saw this chef from MFT he reminded me of Mario and I had to buy it :)

I colored the chef with Copic markers and stenciled the background with light gray. The sentiment is from SSS Funny Food and the glittery heart was in my stash from an old Mama Elephant Confetti die. I also created a stencil with the MFT oval shadow die and added the Wonky Stitched border for fun...and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #114

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Carolyn is our Hostess, and she has chosen our code word ~ 'White on White'! Our Guest Designer is Lynn Mangan and Happy Little Stampers is our Sponsor.
I used the PTI Sunflower Cover Plate for my take on the code word:

A close-up of the details:

I added a few small Rainstones around the center of the flower. I also tried to create a white sentiment on vellum, but it wasn't reading well, so I switched to glitter cardstock and silver EP.

Feel free to stop over at the Addicted to CAS Challenge Blog and join us! My teammates have created some really beautiful cards, so I know you'll find tons of inspiration ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Choose your Muse!

Hi there, blog friends! I have a few cards to share, but before I get started, I have a question:
Does anyone know why my 'foil die cuts' are getting smashed in my Big Shot? I've noticed that the edges sometimes have a crease near the corner, too. Here is an example of what I mean...take note of the letters "g" and "f'':

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please leave a comment below ~ Thanks!

There’s a birthday party over at Muse Card Challenge for Ardyth, and she has asked us to 'Choose among any of her cards to serve as our Muse'. I found tons of cards that I LOVE in her Pinterest gallery, and this is the one that I decided on:

And, my take on her card:

I focused on Ardyth's design but used more muted colors. Ardyth used her Zig markers, but I didn't have good luck with them so I used DI's. I also used inlaid die cutting and stacked the sentiment with 3 layers.

Belated Happy Birthday to you, Ardyth! You have inspired me so much over the past few years with your gorgeous cards and encouraging words...Thank you! Also, I must say,
"You look amazing at 50...way to go!!!"

My next card is for the CAS on Sunday Challenge and we have been asked to 'Use a Repetition Image' on a card:

I finally bought the Altenew Halftone Circles stamp set and couldn't wait to ink them up. I used the colors of the rainbow and chose a sentiment from PTI Make it Market mini-kit.

My next card is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge #72 and the theme is 'Summer Fun'

A very simple card using the SSS Sailboat Wafer Die and Sailing Stamp set for the sentiment.

If you're still with me, thank you! I have one more card to share, which is not for a challenge. I won a place in the latest Online Card Class - Sparkle & Shine and this is my take on a technique by the AMAZING Laura Bassen!

I used the latest MFT Card Kit for the sentiment. The heart was embossed with four layers of EP and the swirls were created with dye ink. The border is also from MFT, the sprigs and patterned papers are from PTI and the enamel dots are DIY Nuvo Jewel Drops.
Very pretty in real life...Thanks, Laura!!!

OK, so that's it for me...thank you again for hanging in there...I really do appreciate it!

Thanks so much for stopping by...Have a great weekend ~
