CAS Christmas - December Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It's a new challenge over at CAS Christmas, and this month the theme is 'Stars'! I love the movement in this starry stamp, so I was happy to ink it up again and play along!

I started by stenciling the cloudy sky, then die cut this NBUS Christmas Angel with white glitter cardstock. I stamped the stars and sentiment with Liquid Platinum EP and placed the panel on to an A2 card base.

So, that's it for me...head on over and check out all of the gorgeous cards Loll, Bonnie and their team created for this month's challenge ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Christmas Chair

Hi there, blog friends ~
It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and our prompt is 'Christmas Chair'. As always, we can use the sketch, the inspiration photo, or both and for this challenge,  I was inspired by the photo to create my card.

I used a SSS die for the gifts, separating the ribbon and bows by using white glitter cardstock to add sparkle to the design, then added striped papers to the border as a nod to the seat cushion on that gorgeous chair. Here's a close-up of the sparkly bows:

My teamies have created some gorgeous cards to inspire you...come on over to check them out, and if you like, feel free to play along :)

Thanks so much for stopping by...I really appreciate it! To my blog friends in the U.S., I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! This is where you'll find me today ~

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Sweet Holiday Penguins (sentiment)
Dies: SSS - Brilliant Gifts
Misc: SSS - White Glitter Cardstock; MFT - Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack

CASology Challenge #304 - Pearl

Hi there ~ I'm stopping in today with a quick post to share a card for this week's challenge at CASology. I haven't played along for the past few weeks, so I was really excited to see the Cue Card is 'Pearl' ~

I started with a panel of SSS Sea Glass cardstock (white space doesn't have to be white, right?). I've had a jar of Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste in my stash for ages, so I used it with the Wave of Stars stencil to create a trail for the butterfly...here is a close-up:

I colored the butterfly with Copics and finished with the sentiment, both from Altenew Dream Big stamp and die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS - Challenge #64

 Hi everyone,
It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, and our code word is 'Animal'. Our host is the super sweet and incredibly talented Joanna, and our sponsor is Create a Smile
who are offering 12.50 Euro (One Stamp Set) as a prize for the winner! We also have a very talented Guest Designer for this challenge ~ Monika, who has created two really sweet cards!

Here is my card:

I've had this stamp and die set in my stash for a few months, and finally pulled it out for this challenge. I was inspired by the 'whispy' technique Sandy Allnock used when she previously colored this image, and thought it would be fun to try it on my owl. Here is a close up:

I also blended distress inks to create the sky background and framed the aperture with SSS white woodgrain cardstock. Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to his eyeballs to make them shine.

I hope you'll stop by the ATCAS blog to see what my teammates  have created and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I hope your weekend is off to a great start ~

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #142

Hi everyone,
Well, it's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More, and our theme is 'Make Your Mark'. You can use markers, water color inks, colored pencils...whatever medium you like to color with! A Day For Daisies is our sponsor for this challenge, and they will be awarding a $12.00 Gift Certificate to the winner.

For my first card, I used a digital image from our sponsor:

I colored this really sweet image (called "Picked Bouquet") with Copics, and die cut the panel with an old Spellbinders mat to add some texture to the card. The sentiment is stamped in black ink, except for the word 'Shine', which I embossed with Black Glitter EP.

 Here is my 2nd card:

I was so excited to play with this cute stamp set...so, I inked up the elephant and bunny and colored them in with Copic markers. I thought it would be fun to add vellum clouds and a few silver stars and to finish it off with a white embossed sentiment!

My teammates have uploaded their beautiful cards to the gallery which I hope inspires you to join us for this weeks' challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by...your visits and comments always make me smile ~
