CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Reminder

Hello friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the July CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Hideko is hosting this month and she has chosen ‘Sparkle and/or Shine’ for our prompt.

I'm such a fan of MFT's Stylish Snowflakes. For this card, I layered 2 different snowflakes with gold metallic cardstock and added a clear gem to the center. The sentiment was embossed with gold EP and finished with the Greetery's Nordic Frame. I also used gold metallic cardstock for the background.

As always, my teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire everyone ~ Come on over to the Challenge Blog to check them out, and play along with us, if you like! You have until the 24th to submit your card! I hope to see you there ~

CAS Christmas Reminder

Hello friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the August CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Trina is hosting this month and she has chosen ‘Pine’ for our prompt.

I used a NBUS stamp set from MFT (Iconic Christmas). There are lots of really cute little trees, deer and ornaments in this set, so I'm sure I'll be using it again. I created the background with Distress inks and a white Gelly Roll pen, then spritzed Shimmer Spray to add sparkle to the sky. I also used Grout Grey cardstock for the card base for contrast.

I'm also entering this card for Darnell's NBUS Challenge #41 ~

Reminder - July Challenge at CAS Christmas

Hello friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the July CAS Christmas Card Challenge
I am hosting this month and I chose ‘Santa' for our prompt.

I love my silhouette stamps and this Santa and reindeer seemed perfect for the prompt. Instead of a snowy night sky, I chose to add a few white clouds and a simple sentiment.

The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Hi there ~
This is my first DT card after several months, and I'm excited to also be hosting the July challenge at CAS Christmas

I'm sure you expected to see the man himself, but I decided to add a twist and I used his name and hat for my focal point.

The alphas are from Altenew. I stacked them x3 with cardstock, then topped them with patterned paper. The puny sentiment is from SSS and I think the hat is Impression Obsession, but I'm not sure.

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT... The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us...It’s a great way to add some beautiful cards to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~

Happy Birthday, Loll!!!

Hi there, blog friends!
After a 4 month hiatus, I am finally back to creating and posting on my blog! Unfortunately, everything is taking me a bit longer to do, and I am still having trouble with writing, coloring, and typing but I'm hopeful that these things will improve with time. On that note, I want to thank my friends and teamies at CAS Christmas (including our 'sister teamies' at CAS Mix Up) for your lovely messages and beautiful cards! You are the core of what makes our community so special...Thank You!!!

Now, on to the reason for today's post...I am joining both teams to wish Loll a very Happy Birthday! You are an amazing leader, Loll...incredibly organized, extremely generous, always supportive in every way, and deserving of a special birthday celebration!

Thank heaven I had that little mouse in my stash, pre-colored and ready to go...The alphas were inked to create an ombre effect and I used gold metallic cardstock for the border.

Wishing you the happiest birthday, Loll! May all of your birthday wishes come true!!!

Addicted to CAS Card Challenge

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Toni is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Feline’.

Sometimes I forget how much I like the effects of embossing paste, so I applied Altenew white EP to the SSS Tiny Dots stencil to create the background for this sweet little kitty. I colored him with Copic markers and framed everything with this MFT stitched sort of wonky square die.
*If you know the name of this discontinued MFT die, please let me know in the comments...Thanks!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Feline’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Reminder

Hello friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the February CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Christine is hosting this month and she has chosen ‘Winter Scene’ for our prompt.

Another 5x7 Christmas card for a very special (and religious) person on my list :) Instead of using black for the silhouettes, I decided to use white so they would pop against the navy blue background. I splattered gold paint (like stars in the sky as opposed to snow) and used gold EP for the sentiment.

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Vicki is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Triangles’.

I used a trio of MFT triangle dies that were still connected (thank heaven), then stamped the Bitty Bears. I haven't used my Copic markers in a long time, so I had fun coloring...a sweet sentiment and a crimped border, and that was it ~

We would love to see how the code word ‘Triangles’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

It’s time for the January challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Julia and she has chosen ‘Silver & Gold’ for our prompt. Our Guest Designer is Lisa.

I started by die-cutting the wreath twice in each color then stacked them beginning with gold and ending with silver. The berries were cut with red foil cardstock for a pop of color and I used gold EP for the greeting...that was it!

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer...The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us. Christmas Critters

Hi there, crafty friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the November CAS Christmas Card Challenge. I’m hosting this month and I chose ‘Christmas Critters’ for our prompt.

I thought it would be fun to use this new penguin set from MFT for my critter and create a monochromatic color palette with pink accents and a pale pink sky. I used a white gel pen for the snow and Flower Soft and a little pom-pom for the hat. I have a few young teens on my holiday list, and I think this card will work well for one of them. Here is a close-up of all the sparkle and texture on the hat ~

My teamies have created some fabulous cards to inspire everyone ~ Come on over to the challenge blog to check them out, and play along with us, if you like! You have until the 24th to submit your card! I hope to see you there ~
