Thank you for being so sweet!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all had a very nice holiday season with family and friends and that 2021 is filled with good health and happiness!

The team at Addicted to CAS has been on an extended break, but we are back with our first challenge of the new year. I am hosting this challenge and the amazing Trina is our Guest Designer. I've chosen 'Emboss' for our Code Word...heat and dry embossing are welcome, so I hope you'll join us!

I have decided to use both heat and dry embossing for my card ~

I started by embossing a 5x5 panel with a textured embossing folder, then die-cutting the Gingko Leaf with an old panel of alcohol inked and foiled cardstock. I heat embossed part of the sentiment and used gold foil cardstock for the word sweet and thin square frame. Here's a close-up of all the texture on the embossed leaf and panel ~

We would love to see how the code word ‘Emboss’ inspires you. If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Stencil Card Challenge - Reminder

Hello friends!  Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the February CAS Stencil Card Challenge. I am hosting this month and I’m challenging everyone to use ‘Foil’ with your stencils. As always, there are several links to techniques over at CAS Stencil Blog for your inspiration.

I started by blending distress inks to create the background, then adding transfer gel over my stencil and let it dry overnight. I used gold foil and ran it through my laminator to create the 'warp speed' pattern. I colored the little astronaut with Copic markers, popped him up on the center of the background and placed it behind the octagon frame. Lastly, I added a few tiny stars...Here is a close-up of the foiling:

There's lots of Design Team inspiration over at CAS Stencil Blog - as well as from our talented Guest Designer, Steph ~ And, don't forget there are also a few links to video tutorials. You have until the 24th to link up your card...I hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
