a2z Scrapbooking Birthday Blog Hop Bash & Giveaway!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the a2z Scrapbooking Birthday Blog Hop Bash!!!  You should be arriving from the a2z Scrapbooking Blog.  If this is your first stop you'll want to begin at a2z Scrapbooking blog so you don't miss out on any of the fun and beautiful creations that our DT is sharing today.

Giveaway:
We will be giving away a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the a2z Store to a randomly selected person who leaves a comment on each blog post along the hop, so be sure to do that! Here is my card:

For my card, I cut the Hero Arts 'Swirly Background' image with my Silhouette and placed the bright teal cardstock from DCWV behind it to add impact. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts/Studio Calico stamp set that I received from a SC class about a year ago. I wanted to keep the focus on the swirly pattern, so I added a few silver stars, and that was it!

Your next stop on the hop is my dear friend Betty who never ceases to amaze me with her talents! I have also provided a link to all of the DT blogs, so if you should lose your way, feel free to stop back here to start hopping again :)

To The Best Kid Ever

Hello again, blog friends! The theme for this month's challenge on the a2z Scrapbooking Blog is 'New', and today is my turn to post my card. I decided to try a new technique again, and this time it's double die cutting, which was inspired by...you guessed it ~ Laura Bassen in the Craftsy Online Card Class! Here is my card:

I started by die cutting the bears, but leaving their feet (or are they paws?) attached to the card base. Then I partially die cut the circle and cut the remainder of the opening with my Exacto Knife. I inked the background with soft pool shadow ink and colored in the bears with my Copic markers. A few silver stars from my stash, and that was it!

Right now, there are a lot of Hero Arts stamps, inks and stencils on clearance in the a2z Scrapbooking Store, so if you're looking for a great bargain, go check it out! And, as always, you are welcome to use Coupon Code: BARB15 for 15% off your order of $25. or more (before tax) in the a2z Store!

Don't forget on the a2z Scrapbooking Blog, we always have a fun challenge! You may enter up to 5 times to be eligible to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store with each entry!

Since I tried a new technique for this card, I would like to enter it into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Happy Birthday, Shirley

Hello there blog friends,
Today is a very special day...Maria is having a "Linky Party" to celebrate Shirley-Bee's Birthday! Before I get to my card, I wanted to share this photo...

This is for you, Shirley! I wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more!
And, now on to my card:

I wanted to create a bouquet of flowers, so I used my new WPlus9 stamp and die set. I die cut the container with silver foil cardstock, although my camera flash made it look dark gray and flat. The sentiment is PTI Wet Paint, and the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thank you Shirley, for always inspiring us with your beautiful creations! I hope you have a great day with family and friends, and that all of your birthday wishes come true!!!

If you would like to join in the Linky Party, or view all the beautiful cards that everyone created for Shirley, check out Maria's Blog ~Thanks for stopping by,
