Twofer Card Challenge #27

Hi there blog friends ~  Darnell's Twofer Challenge #27 is up and running, and for the month of May, the prompt is 'Flowers'.

The rules for this challenge are to create two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils, and/or dies...so, I grabbed one of my favorite stamp sets and got busy ~

For my first card, I started by blending DOX inks to create the background, then I used my MISTI to stamp the black silhouette flowers. A simple 'thank you' sentiment and this card was done!

For my second card, I wanted something with a spring/summer color palette...

For this card, I used my favorite color combo for the flowers and leaves and a very soft gray cardstock for the vase. I created a stencil with a shadow die and scored the card base every 1/2 inch, added my sentiment and that was it.
Here is the photo of both cards for the challenge blog ~

You have until the 24th if you would like to play along with the May Twofer Challenge...it's a great way to add to your stash!

I hope everyone is staying healthy! Sending cyber hugs to all ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS - Challenge #70

Hi everyone ~ It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Linda Beeson, and our Sponsor is Stamplorations, who will be giving a $10.00 voucher to the store for the winner. As the hostess for this challenge, I have chosen the code word 'School'...you can interpret it as Back to School, create a teacher card, a graduation card, or notecards for a child's lunch box, if you like!

For this challenge, I created a card, a tag and a gift box:

I die cut the word teacher, but it's difficult to see...here is a close-up:

I created a tag with PTI's Enclosed Apple Die, and the box from WRMK Gift Box Punch Board:

And, here is the whole gift set:

For the tag, I used Brushos on water color cardstock in two shades of red and dabbed a bit of yellow to give it a more realistic look. For the card, I used a technique that I first learned from JJ Bolton in This Post. I created the faux ribbon with thin strips of cardstock, since I don't have that cool new die yet from Pretty Pink Posh :) I also added the black dots to the white cardstock on the box using a stamp from the Ellen Hutson Bokeh set and a stencil. The bow is from La Pareja Creativa...I love it because it's so dainty!

I hope you'll find some time to play along with us! For more inspiration, stop over at the ATCAS Blog to see the creations from the rest of the team ~ Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #69

Hi everyone ~
I'm back with the latest challenge details for Addicted to CAS. For this challenge, our hostess is Bhavana, and she has chosen the Code Word 'Banners'. We also have an amazing Guest Designer for the month of August ~ Linda Beeson, and she has created the most adorable card for this challenge!

So, here is my first card:

I started by embossing the background with PTI Sunrise Impression Plate and die cut the banners with my Silhouette after water coloring with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors. The sentiment is from Penny Black and the bows are from La Pareja Creativa.

A few weeks ago, I won the Time Out Challenge, and my prize was one of Deepti's newest stamp sets called Balloons and Banners - Dee's Artsy Impressions...Banners you say? Oh yes, so here is my second card:

I stamped one of the banners in rainbow order, and repeated it in reverse order. I divided the panel, stamped the sentiment, then added a few enamel dots...and that was it!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Scrappiness Designs, and they have generously offered a $5.00 voucher to their digi store for the winner!

We would love to have you join us for this challenge...deadline is Friday, August 14th, so there is plenty of time to submit your entries! Thanks so much for stopping by,

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

 Hi everyone,
I am so excited to be participating in the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop! I do love my coffee, but what I love most is a strong, hot, Caramel Latte! With a little bit of whipped cream, please :)

Just for fun, I decided to create a 'tag/card':

I started by stamping the coffee cup, saucer and sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps (I think this set is discontinued) in Versamark and sprinkled on gold EP. The hearts were die cut with red foil cardstock and the bow with gold foil cardstock. I die cut a second tag and attached them to turn it into a card, and that was it!

There's still more time to join in with this challenge...and lots of fabulous prizes from some amazing companies!

Thanks for stopping by ~
