CAS Watercolor Challenge - Rainbow

Hi there blog friends! The May CAS Watercolor Challenge is underway! I enjoy all of Loll and Bonnie's challenges and I love a good 'rainbow', so of course, I'm ready to play along ~

It's hard to see on screen, but I stenciled clouds for my little village, then used Zig Markers to watercolor the houses. The road was added with a strip of yellow fun foam behind it and a simple sentiment...and that was it!
If you have a chance, stop by the CAS Watercolor Challenge blog...the DT girls have really out-done themselves this month :)

I hope everyone's week is off to a great start ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Beach Bunnies (sentiment)
Dies: MFT - Our Town; Mama Elephant - Cityscape (road)
Stencil: MFT - Mini-Clouds
Inks: Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass; Zig Clean Color Markers; Versafine Onyx Black

CAS Watercoloring March Challenge; The Flower Challenge

Hi all,
I know it's unusual for me, but this is my 2nd post today. For the Tag You're It Challenge post, please go Here.

I'm joining in 2 challenges...My first card is for the CAS Watercoloring March Challenge for the theme 'Spring'

I used my Zig Clean Color pens to color the SSS flowers, then embossed and die cut the PTI sentiment. I also added a pink sparkly Doodlebug gem to the center of the small bloom.

The current theme at The Flower Challenge is 'Anything Goes'  so I am playing along there as well with this card:

This PTI floral set comes with another layer to stamp color on to the flowers, but I decided to leave them open, and I like the effect. The sentiment is from a different set, which I thought worked well with this design...

So, that's it for me today. I hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Watercolor November Challenge; Virginia's View Challenge - Stripes & Plaid

Hello again, Blog Friends! I finally finished my cards for the Caring Hearts Card Drive, and thought I would jump into a few challenges before the doors close ~

This month, the CAS Watercolor Challenge theme is to use text on our card (other than the sentiment). Here is my card:

I was eager to include the copper butterfly (a gift from my sweet friend, Loll), and embossed the text, sentiment and flourish with copper embossing powder. I also watercolored the background with Peerless Watercolors, and created the aperture with my new MFT frame dies. A stitched border to finish it off, and that was it!
The French Script is an old unmarked stamp, and the PTI flourish is not listed in the store at this time, so they are not included in the Inlinkz below.

Last month I missed the deadline, and I'm getting in right under the wire for Virginia's View Challenge. The theme is stripes and plaid, and I couldn't be happier to use some of my PTI striped papers for this card:

I used another new MFT die to create the angle on this card, and watercolored the flower and leaves from my favorite Winnie & Walter stamp set.

That's it for me today...I hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start! Thanks so much for stopping by ~
