We would love to see how the code word ‘Plaid’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog  ~

Fusion Card Challenge - Coffee

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is Coffee.

For this challenge, I combined a loose interpretation of the sketch with the inspiration photo. I found an old scalloped border die in my stash and combined it with the gray and white striped papers, and used Ripe Raspberry ink to stamp the images for a bold pop of color.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some amazing cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Coffee Date; Uniko - Pure Florals: Cosmos
Dies: MFT - Coffee Date; Lawn Fawn - Stitched Scalloped Borders
Misc: Lucy's Things - Crystal Gems; MFT - Gray & White Basics Patterned Paper Pack, MFT - Ripe Raspberry Ink, Cement Gray Ink; Altenew - Rocky Shore Ink

Hello there, blog friends! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS! Our Hostess is Stephanie, and she has chosen 'Foliage' as our code word!

Our Guest Designer and my teammates have created some gorgeous cards for this challenge. Stop on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog to check them out, and play along with us...we would love to see your take on the code word.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #136 - Mom/Mum

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for another challenge at ATCAS and just in time for Mother's Day our code word is 'Mom/Mum'! Ceal is our Hostess, the super talented Rachel Bergfeld is our Guest Designer and the winner of this challenge will receive a $20.00 GC from Happy Little Stampers!

I was so excited to win an Altenew GC from Virginia Lu's Blog a few weeks ago, so I could finally buy this alpha die set :) I stamped flowers from PTI and Lawn Fawn and stopped at varying heights to hopefully add dimension to this card. It's been a long cold winter here on the east coast, so I really enjoyed taking out some spring colors for the flowers and leaves. The alphas are inlaid and stacked 3 high on a scalloped frame...a few sparkly sequins and this card was done and dusted!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Watercolor, CAS Mix Up & MFT Sketch Challenge

Hello again ~
I always enjoy playing along in Loll and Bonnie's monthly challenges, but this month, time has been slipping by quickly. So, before it's too late, I have two cards to share. My first card is for the CAS Watercolor October Challenge & 1st Birthday Celebration and the theme is 'Fall Leaves':

These gorgeous leaves were a gift from my dear friend Michele, and I thought they worked perfectly for this challenge. The angled panel was watercolored using Peerless Watercolors, and I curved the MFT sentiment using my MISTI.

Happy 1st Birthday, Loll & Bonnie! Here's to many more years of crafty fun with your challenge blog!!!

********************************

My 2nd card is for the CAS Mix Up October Challenge for the theme: Stamping, Layering Stencils and Your Choice (Copic coloring):

I started by stenciling soft blue clouds with Tumbled Glass (too soft so it's hard to see), then stenciled the balloon. Next, I stenciled the hearts onto the balloon and stenciled the grass in 3 different inks. Lastly, I used Copic markers to color the elephant and flowers...and that was it :)

********************************

My 3rd card is for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge - With inspiration by Laura Bassen, how could I resist!

This little pup is from the new MFT set called 'Happy Pawlidays' and I couldn't resist him (and his friends). For the aperture on the sketch, I used the Peek-a-Boo Wonky Window for fun, and Copic markers to color the images. The background was blended with DI's and I added snow with a stencil and texture paste.

OK, so that's it for me...Thank you for hanging in there, and thanks so much for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches - Challenge #291

Hi there crafty friends,
I have a really quick post to share a card I created for Freshly Made Sketches (Sketch by Jen B.)

I took creative liberty for the top panel and used Lawn Fawn's Speech Bubble ~

I started by stamping the sentiment on the speech bubble and set it aside. I embossed the panel with the Waves Stencil, then inked the Porthole with Peacock Feathers and added transparent embossing paste to add texture. This stamp set is from MFT's latest release, and the images are adorable :)
Here is a close-up of the embossed panel:

Lastly, I used a silver gelly roll pen for the hat, sash and sword and glossy accents to the eye patch; I was also lucky enough to find some old brads from my scrapbooking days to add to the porthole. And, that was it ~

Wishing you a wonderful crafty week ahead...Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge #251 - Medicine

Hi everyone ~ Thanks to all who made suggestions about my 'smashed' foil die cuts! In the end, I bought new plates, ran the die through closer to the edge of the plate and added a piece of copy paper underneath to serve as a shim...it worked much better! Also, using my old Grand Calibur didn't help at all.

I'm sure it's no surprise that I'm playing along with one of my favorite challenges again this week...CASology, and the cue card is 'Medicine'!

I thought it would be fun to take out my MFT Band-Aid dies and this sweet little Lawn Fawn bird and create my card. My apologies for the poor photo, we have had overcast skies for the past few days ~

Color me Nancy Nurse, but I always put a little antibiotic on a wound before I apply a Band-Aid, so I hope this fits with the cue card. The wonky stitched border was also intentional for the theme :) Before I matted the white panel, I added glossy accents to the birds' beak and clear EP to make the sentiment shine.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,
