CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Reminder

The sentiment was embossed with gold EP and finished with the Greetery's Nordic Frame. I also used gold metallic cardstock for the background.

As always, my teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire everyone ~ Come on over to the Challenge Blog to check them out, and play along with us, if you like! You have until the 24th to submit your card! I hope to see you there ~

Addicted to CAS Card Challenge

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Our Hostess is yours truly, and since Halloween is only a few shorts weeks away, I'm challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Spooky’.

I've had this NBUS PTI spider web for a few years so I was happy to finally use it on a card. I started by using one side of a watercolor wash stencil to create the wonky border with Oxide inks. After I placed the web I added a few spiders and a die-cut sentiment and that was it ~ Of course I stamped a greeting inside, added a $20. bill and popped it in the mail to my granddaughter, Desi. She'll love it...the money, that is!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Spooky’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Enjoy The Adventure

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Ceal is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Beach’.

This cute little sailboat is from Simply Graphic, which is a company in France with reasonable prices and shipping fees...gotta love that! I started by stenciling the waves and clouds, then stacked the navy saiboat x3 to add dimension. I used a NBUS stitched circle die to frame the scene and Navy ink for the sentiment. Lastly, I used clear embossing powder for the fish to create a tone-on-tone effect.

We would love to see how the code word ‘Beach’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog  ~

All You Need is Love

Hi there blog friends ~ Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Sue N. is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Pattern’. Crafty Milka is our Guest Designer ~

I rarely use patterned paper, although I have mountains of it in my stash, so I thought it would be fun to back these chunky alphas with a checked pattern. I used dark blue ink for the sentiment and added a touch of pink on the heart...and that was it ~

We would love to see how the code word ‘Pattern’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Enjoy the Adventure

Hi there ~
I haven't played along with CASology in quite a while, and since my mojo has taken flight, I thought it would be fun to kickstart my creativity with their latest prompt ~ Vacation!

I wouldn't mind spending time on a sailboat like this one, especially after the crazy year we've all had.

I started by stamping the waves in two shades of aqua, then die cut the (new to me) sailboat. I embossed the sentiment in gold to match the sails, but I think the flash on my camera is making it difficult to see. I also stamped the seagulls with navy ink to match the boat and card base...and that was it!

Since the sailboat is new, I am also entering this card in Darnell's NBUS Challenge #18.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy! Thanks so much for stopping by,

Sending Love

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Relaxed Living’.  For my card, I chose to go with the sketch and the color palette from the inspiration photo...

I flipped the sketch to create a portrait style card (PTI white linen) and used a scalloped border die for the banner. The bloom was embossed in white on vellum and backed with light yellow cardstock (light green for the leaves).

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

You've Got This!

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Enough’.  For my card, I chose to combine the sketch with the theme from the inspiration photo...

Also, I couldn't resist using the eye with those adorable lashes...here is a close-up of the sparkly texture on the waves.
