CAS Watercolor September Challenge

Hi there ~
I'm back to share a card I created for this month's challenge at CAS Watercolor, and the theme is 'Silhouette'!

Instead of using a stamp for this challenge, I opened my Silhouette Studio software and found this image in my library from a few years ago (it's called 'Beauty Silhouette' #5292). I started with Peerless Watercolors on the textured side of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock and I embossed the PTI sentiment in gold. A stitched oval and rectangle border with a few gold sequins and this card was completed!
Thanks to Bonnie for suggesting that I can enter this card is this month's challenge at CAS Mix Up :)

To fulfill the criteria for this challenge, I created the watercolor wash on the oval panel and stamped the sentiment. My 'choice' is one of my favorite techniques ~ die cutting.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and if you live in or near Florida, please stay safe! My daughter and granddaughter live on the east coast of Florida and I'm trying not to panic ~ So far, so good!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Muse Card Challenge #128

Hello there blog friends ~
A quick post from me to share a card I created for this week's challenge at Muse. The super sweet and uber talented Michele Ferguson created this awesome card for us:

I love how she placed her vellum balloon and long swirly balloon string on to a embossed card base and her use of a bold color on her die cut sentiment...WOW! Here is my very literal interpretation of Michele's card:

It's difficult to see the texture on the embossed panel, so here is a close-up:

I used PTI's Linen/Canvas Impression Plate on the white panel and vellum for the balloon and string. I also wanted a bold sentiment, so I used DCWV 'Brights' for the die cut word and Versafine ink embossed with clear EP for the stamped sentiment. Added a few enamel dots, and that was it!

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #152 - Make Your Mark

Hi everyone ~
It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps, and our theme is Make Your Mark! By that, we mean that you can take out all of your coloring supplies and show us what you've got...Markers, Pens, Paints...whatever makes you happy!

I love playing with my Copic Markers, so I reached for a few of my newest Mama Elephant stamps and created this card:

I simply stamped, colored and die cut the pups (Playful Pups) and hats (Ella the Elephant), then inked a piece of cardstock to create  the ground/grass. Then, I die cut the grass with Landscape Trio dies and cut the flagpole with my Silhouette. I also added a bit of Sea Glass ink behind the pups to look like 'sky'...and that was it!

So, come on over to the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog and see all the fabulous inspiration by my fellow teamies, and join in the fun ~ Our Sponsor for this challenge is Sweet Pea Stamps, and the winner will receive four free digis from their store!

Have a great week...Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #66

Hi everyone ~
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS and this time our code word is 'Splash'! Rebecca is our Hostess and Bugaboo is sponsoring this challenge by offering seven digi images to the winner! Here is my take on the code word:

I stamped and die cut the boots, then added a coat of Glossy Accents to make them look wet. The puddle and splashes were cut with my Silhouette, and the die cut word 'You' is from SSS. Lastly, I added a little Wink of Stella clear pen to the splashes for some sparkle...and that was it!

We are very excited to have Flo as our Guest Designer this month, and we would love to have you stop by the Challenge Blog to see what Flo and my team mates have created for the code word ~

Have a great weekend,

CASology Challenge #150

Hi everyone,
A really quick post to share a card I created for this week's challenge at CASology for the theme 'Graduation'.

The file for the graduates was cut with my Silhouette, then I inked the background with SSS Sea Glass ink, and stamped the sentiment with Versamark and Gold embossing powder. I added some small stars from Mama Elephant's Confetti die and the stitched border is from MFT's Blueprints 13.

That's it for me today...I hope you are all having a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by ~
