Guest Designer CASology Challenge #313

Hi there blog friends! I am honored to share with you that as the winner of the CASology Challenge in April (cue card: Parent), Melissa has asked me to join them this week as Guest Designer for the cue card 'Dress'!

I have one of the original Silhouette Cameo's, and I never know if it's going to cooperate when I need a die cut...this week, I got lucky and found this lovely image in their store for my card ~

I started by die cutting the stitched scalloped mat, and to keep things really clean & simple, I sponged a light background, popped her up on foam squares, and added a scripty sentiment, which I embossed with clear EP. Lastly, I added the dots with my gel pen...and that was it!

Be sure to stop by the CASology Challenge to see all of the beautiful cards created by their amazing Design Team...I think you'll be inspired to play along :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge - Sports

Hi there ~ I haven't played along with the CASology Challenge lately, so when I saw their latest cue card I made sure I took the time to create a card.

Since I don't have any sports-related stamps, I went shopping in the Silhouette Store and found this cute little gymnast. I started with a stitched panel, then blended Tumbled Glass ink for the background. I used black textured cardstock for the image and gold embossing powder for the stars (so sorry for the glare).

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #112

 Hello there, blog friends!
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS! Bobby is our Hostess, and she has chosen the Code Word 'Graduation'!

My step-granddaughter, Erica, graduated from college a few weeks ago, and I created this card for her ~

I started by inking a small background sky and stamping the sentiment with Versamark and Liquid Platinum EP. The silhouette of the graduate was cut with my Cameo and the silver stars are from Pretty Pink Posh. Erica loves all things 'sparkly', so I thought it would be fun to add the clear glitter c/s along the side. By the way, Erica graduated Summa cum laude, and we couldn't be prouder of her! She is also starting grad school in the fall ~ So exciting!

Addicted to CAS is such a fun challenge, and we would love to see you there! The winner of this challenge will receive a GC from Create a Smile Stamps! Also, Chrissie Stokes is our special Guest Designer and she has created a gorgeous card to inspire everyone!
Thanks so much for stopping by and a special thanks for your comments ~

Commencement 2017

Hi there ~ Happy Mother's Day!
A quick post to share a card I created for this week's CASology Challenge

Here is my card:

I don't think I've ever used these PTI numbers and thought it would be a great time to include them on this 4"x9" card. The blooms are from the Altenew 'Garden Treasure' stamp set and colored with Copic markers. The graduation cap was cut with my Cameo. I stacked the numbers 3 times to add dimension and placed a thin black border all around. I also added mini pearls to the center of the lavender blooms...And that was it for me :)
I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

I Believe in You

Hi there ~ I'm back to share two cards that I created for a few challenges...
First up...I created this card for this week's CASology Challenge for the Cue Card ‘Flow’

In retrospect, I may have confused 'flow' with 'flutter', but CASology is one of my favorite challenges, and my heart was in the right place :)

I started by sponging a grassy hill, then used my Cameo to die cut the Silhouette image (Fairy). The butterflies are from Memory Box and the sentiment is Clearly Besotted. I decided not to add clouds so I could have true white space on this card.

My 2nd card is for the CAS on Sunday Challenge - Use Glitter or Sequins on a card ~

I started this card by using texture paste on my stencil to create the background, and before it dried, I added clear glitter so it sparkled. I also used my clear WOS pen on the party hat and balloon and a strip of glitter c/s below the sentiment banner. Lastly, I used a silver gel pen for the balloon string and added a few sequins...This is one sparkly card!

That's it for me today ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,
