3 Cards & a Tag

Hi there,
Before I begin, I would like to wish all the mom's a very Happy Mother's Day! I hope you all have a lovely day, and that your family is spoiling you!

I've been busy in my craft room, and have a few things to share with you...Let's get started ~

My first card is for this week's challenge at Muse. My super talented friend, Michele Ferguson, created this beauty for us:

I used the same color palette and the Sweet Havana stamp set for my vase, and PTI Bitty Bouquets for the flowers:

My 2nd card is for the May Challenge at CAS Mix Up. I was really inspired by Loll's card Here, and used my new dies from Concord & 9th for my focal point:

To fulfill the requirements for the challenge, I used the emboss resist technique for the background hearts, and gold embossing powder for the sentiment. The bird was watercolored with Brushos, and just for fun, I used SSS white woodgrain cardstock for the branch. I was very happy with how it turned out...Thanks for inspiring me, Loll!

Next is a tag for the current Tag You’re It Challenge. Susan Wuthrich created this really cute tag to inspire us...Here is my take:

The brick wall is an older MFT stencil, and the little girl, dog and grassy hill is from Mama Elephant. My granddaughter enjoys getting tags like this in the mail, attached to a bag of homemade chocolates...she's 9 years old, and lives far away, so it's fun!

My last project (if you're still with me) is a card I created for this week's Case This Sketch Challenge. Sam Simpson's sketch is perfect for another new butterfly die from Concord & 9th:

I embossed a scalloped circle, then blended a bit of Sea Glass ink behind the butterfly, which was colored with Peerless Watercolors. The die cut sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, and was also colored with Peerless. Here is a close up of the scalloped circle:

Thanks so much for stopping by, and for hanging in there with me...Enjoy your day ~

Gorgeous cards and tag Barb. Looks like you've been having LOTS of fun creating!! Your beautiful bouquet of flowers in the jug is so sweet and a great take on Michele's beautiful card. Love your tag with the sweet little girl walking her dog -- how cute is that??!! Super cute! :) And LOVE the soft pastel shades of your sponging and beautiful butterfly die. The embossed circle is so cool and what a great design element.

But it's the gorgeous bird on a branch with the embossed heart background and gorgeous colours from your sponged background and watercoloured bird that really made me gasp! Literally gasp!! Gorgeous, and thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

Wow Barb, you spent time wonderfully in your crafty space. Your cards are just lovely as usual. You obviously take time and care in making them. Your tag is just too doggone cute (I really couldn't help myself) and I love the imprint of the die on your Case card. Such a wonderful collection of art Barb!

Wow Barb what a wonderful collection of cards, I don't know which one to comment on first. I saw the bird one over at the new CAS Challenge and just love that bird, the colours and the background. So so pretty. Then the Muse card is a brilliant inspiration from Michele's card, the butterfly well its on my list of what I want/need next and love all the ideas I am seeing. Yours is so soft and pretty and finishing off with that brilliant tag. All the layers and colouring you have been so busy. Love it all.

Your cards and tags are sheer delights, my friend. A lovely bouquet of flowers, a charming bluebird, a darling little girl and puppy...so incredibly sweet. Of course, you know that the butterfly steals the show for me...and my heart! Love it! The best part: that butterfly set has fluttered its way my direction. Waiting for the 'right moment' to give it a play!

You are one talented, productive crafter, Barb! I love all your work, but the last card is my favorite! I never take the time to emboss with my dies because I have to think about how to do it, but you've inspired me! I have that C&9 butterfly on my wishlist & now I really want it!
