Addicted to CAS Challenge #158 - Contrast

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS! Raga is our Hostess and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Contrast’.
Our Guest Designer is the uber-talented Kuni, and she has created the cutest card for this challenge...check it out here ~

I had a hard time with this code word and eventually considered how bold bright colors work in contrast to black.....

Ah, yes...a rainbow of circles :) I wanted to add dimension to the design, so I used circle punches in various sizes (glad I saved them) and popped some of them up with one or two bits of foam tape. A white embossed sentiment and that was it ~

We would love to see how the code word ‘Contrast’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from my amazing teammates and play along with us, come on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Stencil Challenge - Reminder

Hi there ~
Today I’m sharing my reminder card for the CAS Stencil Challenge. Our theme is ‘Embossing Pastes/Gels’ hosted by yours truly!
For my card, I decided to go sparkly and grabbed my Glass Bead Glitter Gel for the raindrops.

I started by stenciling the raindrops on a separate panel and set it aside while using my Copic markers for the images. I added a touch of  Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the water puddle then stamped the sentiment, and this card was done and dusted!

Here is a close-up of all that fabulous sparkle:

I hope you’ll check out the challenge blog to see the beautiful reminder cards from our DT and Guest Designer, Bobby at Bits & Pieces ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Tropical Fish

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Tropical Fish’...they are beautiful, but this time I decided to grab my favorite little Bitty Bears and go with the sketch ~

I flipped the sketch to fit the trio of squares die, then stenciled clouds as a background for the bears (hard to see, I'm sorry). I colored the images with Copic markers and once I added the embossed sentiment, this card was complete!

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by...I read every one of your comments, and appreciate your kindness very much ~

April Twofer Challenge - Zoo Animals

Hi there!
I'm finally finished creating my cards for Darnell's Twofer Challenge. I love playing along, but sometimes life can get in the way...better late than never, right?  I love the prompt for this month and I have a few stamp sets that would work but thought I would ink up this NBUS set from a recent MFT release ~

I started with a generic baby card using this adorable giraffe. I stamped him and the sentiment in gray and used Copic warm grays to color him. I also stenciled the sky and masked off the bottom to create a hill. Lastly, I added those little blades of grass using a stamp from another set...and that was it!

Here are the rules for the Twofer Challenge:

So...here is my 2nd card:

I thought it would be fun to create a card for my granddaughter. I grabbed this NBUS triple frame die, blended DOX inks behind each circle, and used all three giraffes in the set. Playing with my 'grays' again for the diagonal striped paper and sentiment, and this card was done and dusted!

Here is the photo of both cards for Darnell's Challenge Blog:

The Twofer Challenge is open until the 24th if you would like to join in the fun :)

These two gals come with 3 sentiments, and this one is my favorite :) I stamped them onto X-Press It cardstock, colored the images with Copic markers and die cut the panel with a stitched border...and that was it!

CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~
I've really missed playing along with Loll & Bonnie's CAS Christmas Challenge the past few months, and when I saw the prompt for April, I just had to grab my elf stamps and join in the fun.

I started by blending DI's for the background, then added splatters to represent snow. The elf was colored with Copic markers and popped up on a snowy hill, then framed with the Venise Lace die. I also added a touch of Glossy Accents to the ornament and used a silver sparkle pen for the buttons, but they don't show up on screen ~

Here is a close-up:

I know it's Easter/Passover season, but it's never too early to add to your Christmas card collection...there's lots of great inspiration from the amazing team on the CAS Christmas Challenge Blog if you'd like to play along :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Stencil Challenge - Embossing Pastes/Gels

Hi there, blog friends! I am thrilled to be hosting the CAS Stencil Challenge for the month of April and I hope our theme encourages you to join in the fun ~

I love adding texture and dimension to my cards, but don't want the 'bulk', so adding embossing pastes or gels is a great way to get around it!

I  started by using a Christmas stencil and applied opaque matte texture paste to serve as a background for the mushrooms, which I stamped in 2 shades of pink and aqua. A few crystal clear sequins and puny sentiment, and this card was done and dusted!

If you have never used texture paste or gels on your stencils, we have several video tutorials and lots of inspiration from my teamies on the Challenge Blog ~ We would love to see your creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Cheery Eggs

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Cheery Eggs’ ~ Just in time for Easter! This time, I decided to go with the 'Fusion' and combine the sketch with the theme on the inspiration photo.

I started with the Wonky Stitched Circle die and added this (new to me) cute little chick popping out of the egg. I stenciled the clouds and hill, then stamped some grass and placed it on the Swiss Dot panel. Lastly, I added the sentiment in soft gray ink...and that was it!

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!
