Fusion Card Challenge - Triangle

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Triangle’. When I saw This Card by Michele, I had to buy this stamp set and since I received it in record time, I knew it was perfect for this sketch! I also bought the speech bubble dies but didn't use them on this card ~

So, I stamped this lovely gal with Gina K. Amalgam ink and colored her hair with Copic markers. I used a small speech bubble and striped paper from MFT and added a black border...and that was it!

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the Challenge Blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge - Wedding

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS! Vicki is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Wedding’.
Our Guest Designer is the amazingly talented Elizabeth Stewart

For my card, I turned to an old fave from Papertrey Ink ~

I created a very subtle ombre effect with my inks for the word happy to match the bridal party colors, and added a touch of greenery and a sentiment. I couldn't resist the heart, a few clear sequins, and a black border!
We would love to see how the code word ‘Wedding’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog  ~

Twofer Card Challenge - Bees

Hi there ~ Today I'm sharing a card I created for one of my all-time favorite challenges...Darnell's Twofer Challenge!   I missed the deadline last month, so I was determined to complete my entry on time this month ~

I love these cute little bees...please excuse the bright yellow - The color is much softer in person. I think it's the lamp I use to photograph my cards :)
For my first card, I stenciled the background clouds and die cut the apertures. The bees were colored with Copic markers, the glasses and heart were smothered with Glossy Accents and the wings were accented with a clear sparkle pen.

My twofer ~

I needed a birthday card, so I chose one of the bees looking to pollinate the flower. I used a honeycomb stencil for a soft background and added a sentiment and a few sparkly sequins...and my Twofer was done! Here is a pic of both cards ~

Why create one card when you can create two? If you would like to play along, pop on over to Darnell's Twofer Challenge...here are the rules:

I added a few red hearts and smothered the owls' noses with Glossy Accents, and this card was done and dusted!

Fusion Card Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘VW Hippie’. One would think a leftover flower child like me would have tons of colorful flowers on my card, but I went a different way ~

I flipped the sketch and used stone gray cardstock for this cute 'Cat Frame' die by Ali Express. As a nod to the psychedelic colors on the VW bus, I used several DOX inks and spritzed the panel with shimmer spray.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some fabulous cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

CASology Challenge - Calm

Hi there, blog friends! I'm back to share a card I created for the current challenge at CASology. While rummaging through my stash for the cue 'Calm', I came across this stencil and thought it would work well...when I'm stressed, I love a hot bath and a cup of tea...Yes!

I thought it would be fun to ink the stencil with DOX inks in rainbow order, and although it's hard to see on screen, I spritzed the steam with Sheer Shimmer Spray. By the way, I am LOVING the new Life Changing Brushes...they're a great investment :) I added a simple sentiment and black border, and that was it!

I used the SSS Leaves stencil and blended 3 shades of Altenew inks to create the ombre effect. The sentiment was embossed in gold and the panel was die cut using MFT stitched rectangle STAX. A few clear sequins and that was it!

June CAS Stencil Challenge

Hi there ~
Today starts a new challenge at the CAS Stencil Challenge. Our hostess is Linda, and she has chosen the theme for the month of June. Chrissie Stokes was our winner for the April Challenge, and she is our Guest Designer!
For my card, I decided to go with Perfect Pearls on a Butterfly Stencil.

Using perfect pearls with stencils was a bit challenging for me. I watched the video tutorials listed on the Challenge Blog and consulted my teammate Robyn about using white cardstock. She recommended coloring the stencil first (I used colored pencils), then applying Versamark before adding perfect pearls...and it worked! Lastly, I added the sentiment and a few clear sequins, and this card was complete!

I hope you’ll check out the Challenge Blog ~ Linda has listed some great video tutorials for this technique...and of course, the DT girls have created beautiful cards to inspire everyone ~
