Fusion Card Challenge - Christmas

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for our last challenge of the year at Fusion and this time our prompt is Christmas.

This time I decided to go with the sketch...so, I used an old Memory Box ornament die with some pretty Christmas papers. I also used silver thread to hang the ornaments and added a sentiment and a few clear sequins...and that was it!

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my U.S. friends ~

God is in Charge...

Hi there, blog friends! CASology is one of my all-time favorite challenges, but for one reason or another, I haven't been able to play along in ages...so, today I'm happy to share a card I created for their current challenge ~

I started by creating a stencil with the MFT Christmas Dove (I think) and blended three blue Altenew inks to create a gradient (they don't blend as well as DI's, but it is pretty in person). I chose this die because it reminds me of the Holy Spirit. I used ultra fine gold EP for the sentiment, a white gel pen for the eye, sheer shimmer spritz for the dove, and finished with the border die. Lastly, I attached the panel to a blue card base. And, that was it...crisp, clean and simple...just the way I like it ~

I hope everyone has a great week ahead ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

November CAS Stencil Challenge Reminder

Hi all ~ I'm back to remind everyone that there is still plenty of time to play along with us at the CAS Stencil Challenge. Linda is our Hostess, and she is challenging us to use the Monoprint technique with our stencils. Lucie is our Guest Designer, and she has created a gorgeous card to inspire everyone!

I watched the video tutorial (which we always have on the challenge blog) and created the stencil monoprint with my Altenew Liquid Marble Stencil and distress inks. I die cut the bloom and frame with the monoprint pattern and in white, then replaced the background with the pattern.

As always, the CAS Stencil Challenge is open until the 24th, and we would love it if you joined us...It's our last challenge for 2019, so come on over and check out all the beautiful cards my teamies have created and get inspired!

Fusion Card Challenge - Thankful

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is Thankful

As you can see, this time I went with the sketch and prompt and started by adding the dotted circles, then die-cutting plain circles to mount the mice, which I colored with Copic markers. It's hard to see on screen, but I stenciled a few clouds behind each mouse, then added a few extra autumn accents, a sentiment, and clear gems...a fun card to make, I must say :)

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

November Twofer Challenge - With a Twist!

Hi there blog friends ~
As you probably know, Darnell's Twofer Challenge is one of my all-time faves, and this month we get to play with our holiday greenery! Here are the rules:

For the month of November, Darnell has included a twist ~ she is suspending one of the rules and we are allowed to create two cards for the same occasion ~ Woo-Hoo!!! I am really far behind on my Christmas cards, so I'm thrilled! I kept both of my designs very CAS and plan to create several more of each for my stash :)

The common element in my cards is the greenery in this wreath. For my first card, I watercolored the sprigs with DI's and splattered with gold and white metallic pigment ink from Gansai Tambi. The die-cut sentiment is from last years' release and the red gems are from my stash. The simple white card base is embossed with SU Subtle Dynamic Textured Impression Folder. I die-cut the wreath twice and layered it a little offset, but I think it looks wonky...when I duplicate this card, I'll have to sort that out :)

Another CAS design...I created the background with Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers DOX then splattered with Winsor & Newton white paint and spritzed with clear shimmer spray. The sprig was cut from the wreath with white glitter cardstock and I used silver foil cardstock for the sentiment and border.

And, here they are together ~

Thanks so much for stopping by...I really appreciate your visits and your sweet comments ~ I read every one of them :)

Addicted to CAS Challenge #172 - Birthday

Happy 7th Birthday, ATCAS!!!

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Vicki is our Hostess, and since it is our 7th Birthday as a challenge blog, she is asking everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Birthday’.

Our Guest Designer is the super talented Charlotte (Lady Joyful). Charlotte was the winner of our 'Plaid' challenge, and she has created a fabulous card to inspire you.

I created a birthday card for my wonderful friend, Michele, and since she has already received it (and celebrated), I can post it here...

Michele frequently injects humor in her cardmaking, so I thought this card would be right up her alley :) I had a lot of fun creating it, too...I used Copic markers to color the image, and Grout Gray ink to stencil the brick wall and the oval shadow. I also added some Pico Embellisher for a glossy finish on the sunglasses.

We all need a few extra birthday cards for our stash, and we would love to see how the code word inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~
