September Twofer Challenge

It's time to play in one of my all-time favorite challenges, and this month the prompt is 'Critters'! I love the Twofer Challenge because it stretches my creativity, and I get to create 2 cards...Thanks, Darnell!!!
Here are the rules:

If you stop by here often, then you know I have a LOT of critter stamps  This time I used my new squirrel set from MFT ~

I really need to get moving on my Christmas cards, so I started with a snowy background and added those adorable squirrels and a few trees. To me, it looks like the little guy is whispering something in his mama's ear, so I used a speech bubble for my sentiment :)

My 2nd card has an autumn theme and since I'll use any excuse to send a card with a few bucks to my granddaughter, I chose a 'nuts about you' sentiment:

I used different Copic markers for the squirrels and stenciled clouds for the background. I also masked the bottom and ink blended the grass, then stamped a few random blades of grass :)

Here is my card for the Twofer Gallery ~

.
There's still a little more time to join in the Twofer Challenge...the gallery closes on the 24th ~
Take care, all...have a great week ahead!

Fusion Card Challenge - Coffee

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is Coffee.

For this challenge, I combined a loose interpretation of the sketch with the inspiration photo. I found an old scalloped border die in my stash and combined it with the gray and white striped papers, and used Ripe Raspberry ink to stamp the images for a bold pop of color.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some amazing cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Dies: MFT - Coffee Date; Lawn Fawn - Stitched Scalloped Borders

CAS Stencil Challenge Reminder

Hi there ~
Today's card is to remind you that there is still time to join us at the CAS Stencil Challenge - Baby Wipes! As always, this challenge is open until September 24th ~

I must say, this is a really fun technique! I started by blending 4 DOX inks in autumn colors, then placed my Spotlight Stencil on an angle. I folded a baby wipe and gently wiped the color until it faded out as much as possible without wearing out the cardstock. I allowed it to dry overnight, then embossed the stars and sentiment in silver EP and die cut the faerie. This card is 5x7".

Come on over to the CAS Stencil Challenge Blog and check out all the fabulous cards by my teamies and our wonderful GD, Sarah, and don't forget we have video tutorials showcasing this technique! We would love to see your take on this challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Autumn

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is 'Autumn'
For my card, I pulled out one of my favorite MFT stamp sets...

I decided to create a CAS scene using the autumn theme and the colors from the inspiration photo. I used Copic markers to color the images and created a mask with the oval shadow die for the ground. A simple sentiment with a wonky stitched border and chocolate brown card base, and this card was completed :)

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some amazing cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Harvest Mouse

September CAS Stencil Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It's time for the September Challenge at CAS Stencil. Julia is our Hostess and she has chosen Baby Wipes for our technique.

Julia posted a few tutorials for this technique, and I used this one for my card. I started by blending 3 distress inks, then laid a stencil over it, and swiped with a baby wipe. I had to repeat this step a few times to get the effect I wanted, but in retrospect, I would use a larger pattern on my stencil. I used solid floral images and stamped in black to get a strong contrast, then stamped the sentiment on the front panel. Lastly, I used the antique frame and placed it over the focal point.

Grab your baby wipes and come on over and join us at CAS Stencil for another fun challenge...Sarah from Funky Fossil Designs is our Guest Designer ~
