Addicted to CAS Card Challenge - Purple

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Ceal is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Purple’.

There's nothing like the lovely color purple to inspire me to grab some of my much loved Altenew floral stamps and Copic markers. I stamped these sweet little blooms at opposing angles, colored them, and die-cut the word 'celebrate' (x4) using the "Eclipse sentiment technique" aka "Camouflage die-cut technique" to add dimension to my design. A few crystal gems and this card was done and dusted :)

We would love to see how the code word ‘Purple’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog  ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew - Sweet Blossoms

Twofer Card Challenge #35 - Balloons

Hi there ~ I finally carved out some time to create a card for the Twofer Card Challenge. Here are the rules:

Since the prompt for February is balloons I used a SSS stencil and started with a birthday card:

I took my inspiration from the rainbow for my color palette and thought it would be fun to use the camouflage technique for the die-cut sentiment. A few balloon strings and clear sequins, and that was it!

I like to send encouragement cards to our 14-year-old granddaughter, so that was the theme for my 2nd card:

After I stenciled the balloon, I colored the elephant and butterflies with Copic markers, then stenciled the clouds and patch of grass using an oval die.

This is the photo of both cards to post on the challenge blog:

The Twofer Challenge is open until February 24th, so there is still plenty of time to play along ~

CASology Challenge - Smile

Hi there,
This week's Cue Card at CASology is 'Smile', so I couldn't resist gathering my stamps and dies and play along!

I started by stamping the blooms using a free stamp set I received from Altenew during the holidays, then I used the camouflage die-cut technique for the sentiment.

I hope you are all having a great weekend ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge - Kindness

Hi there blog friends! I've been MIA enjoying Christmas with my family, and it's been a blast! If I haven't visited your blog lately, please be patient...I promise to get caught up asap :)

CASology is hosting a 2-week challenge and their cue card is 'Kindness'. Since I'm lucky enough to have the MFT Kindness die, I was eager to play along ~

These beautiful leaves are from the MFT Geometric Greenery stamp set and I thought they would work well with the camouflage die cut technique. I used pink and gray (my favorite color combo) and added the 'r' to the sentiment with a fine marker. A wonky stitched border and a few sequins, and this puppy was done and dusted :)

Here is a close up:

As the year comes to a close, I want to thank you all for your sweet comments and wonderful heartfelt, friendships! How blessed we are to have such a great hobby ~
I wish everyone a New Year filled with love, peace, and good health!

Red, White or Rose'

Hello again, blog friends ~ I'm back to share a few cards I created for 2 of my favorite challenges.

I love the effect of inlaid (Camouflaged) die cutting and wanted to use a new MFT die 'Cheers' for my card:

Stamping, Inlaid Die Cutting, Wonky Stitched Border, Rainstones

I started by stamping the wine bottles and glasses (red, white & rose'), then die cut the sentiment. Here is a close up of the Cheers die:

My second card is for the April CAS Watercolor Challenge for the theme 'Green & Pink'

Clearly Besotted has some beautiful floral stamps, so I chose to stamp this bloom on Bristol cardstock, then colored the petals and leaves with Zig Clean Color markers. I kept the card CAS by just adding a few clear sequins and a plain stitched border.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and that you're finding some crafty time for yourself!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Week #214; Muse Challenge Week #182; SSS Flickr Challenge #53

Hi there, crafty friends ~

For the past few days, I've been busy in my craft room creating cards for a few challenges ~

My first card is for this week's CASology Challenge for the cue card: Beach

I've had this Lil'Inkers flip flop die for a while, so I thought it would be fun to use it for this challenge. I used distress inks to create the sand and water, and created the enamel dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops...Fun!

Anita Bowden created a beautiful birthday card for this week's challenge at Muse...here is my take on her card:

I used my new MFT big balloons stencil with pastel inks, just as she did. The camouflage die cut is from Mama Elephant, and the stamped 'happy' is SSS.

SSS Flickr Challenge this week is Anything Goes. Here is my card:

Another brand new goodie (too bad Darnell's challenge is closed)...I finally ordered this fabulous Jingle Snowflake die, so I used silver foil cardstock for the snowflakes and silver embossing powder on the stamped sentiment to jazz it up! Some soft ink blending in the background and a few sequins, and that was it :)

As always, I want to thank you so much for stopping by! Your sweet comments mean so much to me! Have a great week ahead ~
