Fusion Card Challenge - Thank You!

Hi there blog friends ~ For about the past year, I have been fussing and fretting over the poor quality of my photos. Well, last week, my camera died!
What??? You mean all this time the problem is my camera? But it's only 13 years old! DUH!
Introducing my brand new Canon EOS SL3...and she's a beauty!!!

Just in time for the new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Thank You’.  For my card, I chose to combine the sketch with the theme from the inspiration photo...

I thought it would be fun to use this new Fairy stamp set from MFT. I stenciled the mini clouds, then colored her with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. The 'Thanks' die is an old fave of mine from Paper Smooches and the stitched circle die-cut is from Lil' Inkers. A few clear sequins and this card was complete :)

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Since this is a new stamp set, I would also like to enter this card to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #13 ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Card Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Vicki is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Silhouette’.
Our Guest Designer is Jane Taylor

A very simple design using the (new to me) dies from PTI called "She Moves". I used Altenew inks for the ombre' ink blending and stacked the runners with three die-cuts to add dimension.

We would love to see how the code word ‘Silhouette’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Since this is a new stamp/die set, I am entering Darnell's NBUS Challenge #13.

Happy Mother's Day

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Let Us Remember’.  For my card, I chose the poppies on the inspiration photo...

I chose this single poppy from MFT's 'Painted Poppies' stamp set and colored the flower petals and leaves with Copic markers. I splattered the background with distress inks and Peerless Watercolors and added a Mother's Day sentiment from WPlus9.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

CAS Stencil Challenge Reminder

Hello friends!  Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the April CAS Stencil Card Challenge.  Cathy is hosting this month and she is challenging everyone to use ‘Gilding Flakes’ with your stencils. As always, there are several links to techniques over at CAS Stencil Blog for your inspiration.

I used my Copper Gilding Flakes for the birds and Copper Embossing Powder for the sentiment. Underneath the sentiment strip, I added another layer with Copper Foil Cardstock. A very simple card with a great message for someone who needs encouragement.

There's lots of Design Team inspiration over at CAS Stencil Blog - as well as from our talented Guest Designer, Mac (The Sweetest of Peas) ~ And, don't forget there are also a few links to video tutorials.

You have until the 24th to link up your card...I hope to see you there!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #182

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ The wonderful Jaydee is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Animal’.

I started by stenciling the clouds and grass, then die cut the window. For my animal, I chose this cute little elephant from the MFT Birthday Buds stamp set...I added the confetti and colored both with Copic markers. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and added a few details with my black and white gel pens...and this card was complete :)

We would love to see how the code word ‘Animal’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Since this is a brand new stamp set, I am also entering this card into Darnell's newest NBUS Challenge. Here are the rules...

Congrats!

Hi there blog friends ~ It’s time for our April challenge at CAS Stencil. Our Guest Designer is the super talented ‘Mac’ (The Sweetest of Peas) and our Hostess for this challenge is Cathy, who chose ‘Gilding Flakes’ for our prompt :)

This is the first time I played with Gilding Flakes...so, I checked out a few videos (posted on the challenge blog) and got busy creating my card. With my brand new Funky Fossil Designs stencil, I blended distress ink to the face and neck. Then I smeared gel medium on to the tie and hat and set it aside to dry. A few hours later, I added the flakes...I have to say I really love the results! It’s shiny like embossing powder but with lots of texture. Lastly, I embossed the sentiment with copper EP and placed the panel to an A2 sized piece of copper foil cardstock and the card base.

I hope you'll grab your stencils and come join us at the CAS Stencil Challenge Blog for this unique challenge! Our GD Mac and my teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you...and don’t forget we always have links to a few video tutorials showcasing the technique for each challenge. The challenge closes on the 24th...I hope to see you there ~

Fusion Card Challenge - Gnome

Hi there ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Gnome’.  For my card, I combined the sketch with the Gnomes on the inspiration photo.

I thought this was a great sketch for a trio of Gnomes. I used a scrap of vellum for the circle and stenciled the polka dots on the hats, like those on the inspiration photo. I also used Copic markers to color the noses pink and to add a touch of gray to their beards. Lastly, I chose a sentiment which I hope will provide encouragement to someone who is feeling frightened right now ~

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

I hope you are all staying healthy during this very challenging time...Thank heaven we have such a fun hobby and lots of crafty friends to share it with in cyberspace! God bless you all...Take care ~
