Happy Birthday, Nancy!!!

Hi there, blog friends! Loll Thompson is hosting a Linky Party for Nancy Littrell who is celebrating a milestone birthday. Happy Birthday, Nancy!!! I'm excited to be joining everyone for the celebration and will be sending this card off to her in the mail ~

I rarely create floral cards, but I couldn't resist these beautiful blooms from Altenew. I used their inks - 2 shades of pink and 2 shades of green, then I heat embossed the sentiment in gold EP.

Loll's Linky Party will be open for 2 weeks, and all are welcome!

Happy, Happy Birthday to you, Nancy! May all of your birthday wishes come true!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

June "Twofer" Challenge!

Hi all ~ It's time for Darnell's June Twofer Challenge, and this month the prompt is 'Trees'!

And, here are the rules:

I love playing along with this challenge, and I think it's because it really IS a challenge! I had an NBUS stamp set in my stash, so of course, it was the best excuse to ink it up :)

For my one layer 'Friendship' card, I created a mask with an oval die and did some ink blending fading out on the upper right. I deliberately kept it CAS by refraining from adding gems or enamel dots...

For my monochromatic Christmas card, I did more ink blending, this time in shades of blue/green. I stamped the trees, leaving them bare, and added a sweet little bird using the same colors.

And, here they are together ~

If you're looking for a really fun challenge, look no further than Darnell's Twofer Challenge...there's still plenty of time to play along, and I know she would love to see your take on her latest prompt!

Have a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS on Friday Challenge - Embossing

Hi there, blog friends ~
I have a card to share for the current challenge at CAS on Friday...and the theme is 'Embossing'!

I started by using my Scor-Pal to score lines every 1/2 inch from behind the panel. I die cut the stitched flowers in 3 shades of pink and when I stamped the sentiment in Versafine ink I embossed it with clear EP to give it a little shine. A few enamel dots and this card was done and dusted :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Tag You're It Challenge #67

Hi there blog friends! As the winner of the Tag You're It Challenge #65, I have been asked by the DT girls to be their Guest Designer for Challenge #67. Marion Vagg is the featured artist, and she created this gorgeous tag:

I was inspired by Marion's design and her use of embossing paste for the background...here is my tag:

I used a large tag so I was able to ink up my new PTI set called Palm Prints, and embossing paste on the Concentric Circle Grid for my background.

I had a lot of fun creating my tag, and I'll be back next week with another one! I hope you'll stop by the Tag You're It Challenge Blog and join us!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #106

Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS
As you can see, our Code Word is 'Doodle'
Our Sponsor is Create a Smile Stamps
Our Hostess is Bhavana
And, our Guest Designer for this challenge is super sweet and incredibly talented Karren J!

Here is my take on the Code Word:

I love all the swirly 'doodling' on this MFT background stamp! I used the emboss resist technique with Peacock Feathers and white EP, then finished the card with an ombre die cut sentiment and scalloped border (also MFT). Lastly, I added a few Nuvo Glitter Drops, and that was it...done and dusted :)

I hope you'll take the time to stop over at the ATCAS Challenge Blog to see what the fun cards my teamies have created, and while you're there, please join us! Thanks so much for stopping by ~

CASology, Merry Monday & The Flower Challenge

Hello again ~ I'm back with a few cards to share, in response to some fun challenges. First up is for the CASology Challenge #232 and the Cue Card is 'Cut'.

I noticed that there are a lot of beautiful cards in the CASology gallery with die cuts of flowers and sentiments, but I have to say, as a nurse, the first thing that comes to mind with the word 'Cut' is Band-Aid! And, it is a die cut, too :)

Next up is a card I created for the Merry Monday Challenge. We are being asked to make a Christmas card with a reindeer on it...no problem there!

I happened to have this trio of beauties in my stash, so I created a monochromatic card with a fading blue sky in the background. Another Christmas card done and dusted...Yay!

My last card is for The Flower Challenge #4. This is my first time playing along there, but it gave me a chance to take out some new dies that I bought for this Winnie & Walter stamp set. The theme is 'Blue & Yellow'...here is my card:

I decided to just blend some of my inks on the flowers and leaves and I paired them with this PTI sentiment.
