Fusion Card Challenge - Beach

Hi there ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Beach’.  For my card, I chose to combine the sketch with the theme from the inspiration photo...

My card design speaks for itself, so I will spare you the details :) I do want to mention that I used Antique Linen distress ink for the bottom panel and on my screen, it looks yellow...In person it looks like sand - sorry about any confusion.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CASology Challenge - Plant

Hi there, blog friends! I haven't played along with the CASology Challenge in several months, but no more excuses, I am sliding in at the eleventh hour with my entry ~

I love these cute little cacti from MFT! So, I inked them up, colored them with Copic markers, and placed them inside a square frame. Please excuse the glare...it's so hard to photograph foil cardstock. I also stenciled the clouds and placed the planter on a shadow die cut. And, that was it :)

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy! Also, some states in the U.S. are starting to relax their guidelines, so I hope that means you are able to get outside and enjoy some nice weather ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Love You

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Ceal is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Rainbow’. Our very special Guest Designer is Hannelie and she has created a gorgeous card for this challenge!

I channeled my inner 'Laura Bassen' for this prompt...here is my card:

I started by creating a mask with a heart die, then used my drifts/hills stencil with a rainbow of distress inks to create the pattern. It's hard to see on screen, but I used black metallic cardstock for the die-cut word, and it looks amazing in person!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Rainbow’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog  ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Twofer Card Challenge #27

Hi there blog friends ~  Darnell's Twofer Challenge #27 is up and running, and for the month of May, the prompt is 'Flowers'.

The rules for this challenge are to create two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils, and/or dies...so, I grabbed one of my favorite stamp sets and got busy ~

For my first card, I started by blending DOX inks to create the background, then I used my MISTI to stamp the black silhouette flowers. A simple 'thank you' sentiment and this card was done!

For my second card, I wanted something with a spring/summer color palette...

For this card, I used my favorite color combo for the flowers and leaves and a very soft gray cardstock for the vase. I created a stencil with a shadow die and scored the card base every 1/2 inch, added my sentiment and that was it.
Here is the photo of both cards for the challenge blog ~

You have until the 24th if you would like to play along with the May Twofer Challenge...it's a great way to add to your stash!

I hope everyone is staying healthy! Sending cyber hugs to all ~

CAS Stencil Challenge - Reminder

Hello friends!  Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the May CAS Stencil Card Challenge. Hilary is hosting this month and she is challenging everyone to Layer our Stencils. As always, there are several links to techniques over at CAS Stencil Blog for your inspiration.

I started by stenciling the wreath in light green, then added the polka dots in a darker shade. A few red berries and clear sequins with a silver embossed sentiment, and this card was complete!

There's lots of Design Team inspiration over at CAS Stencil Blog  - as well as from our talented Guest Designer, Greta ~

You have until the 24th to link up your card...I hope to see you there!

Since the wreath is a brand new stencil, I am going to add this card to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #14 ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

You've Got This!

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Enough’.  For my card, I chose to combine the sketch with the theme from the inspiration photo...

I started with ink blending all those pretty colors on the photo, then decided I would use navy blue for my card base. I stamped the Hero Arts Leafy Vines and finished with an encouraging sentiment and a few sparkly gems.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

I hope you are all safe and healthy right now, and that we can keep it that way as we transition to returning to work and school ~ Sending big hugs to all!

Addicted to CAS Card Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  ~ Bobby is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Flower’. Our Guest Designer is Maja.

This delicate daisy works really well for a CAS card design. I placed a scrap of alcohol inked Yupo paper behind it because I love how the colors swirl and blend. I added a simple sentiment, and that was it!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Flower’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Stencil May Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It’s time for our May challenge at CAS Stencil! Our Guest Designer is the super talented Greta and our Hostess for this challenge is Hilary, who chose ‘Layered Stenciling’ for our prompt :)

I don’t layer my stencils very often, but when I do, I am reminded of the great impact this technique has on a card design.

I started by stenciling the vase in light blue, then placed the mesh stencil over it blending a darker shade of blue to create the pattern. I also created a mask with the MFT shadow die and inked in pale gray to create a base under the vase. I colored the flower and leaves with Copic markers and finished with a pearl gem on the bloom :)

Come on over to the CAS Stencil Challenge Blog ...Our Guest Designer Greta and my teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you...and don’t forget we always have links to a few video tutorials showcasing the technique for each challenge. The challenge closes on the 24th, so there's plenty of time to join us...I hope to see you there ~
