CAS Christmas Challenge - Reminder

Hello, friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the September CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Colleen is hosting this month and she has chosen ‘Christmas Tree’ for our prompt.

This charming little Christmas tree is an oldie but goodie from Papertrey Ink, and I thought it would be fun to ink it up in rainbow order with a gold foil star on top :) I used the Venise Lace Border die to add interest and popped it up on the red card base with foam tape.

Christmas will be here before you know it, and my teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire everyone ~ Come on over to the Challenge Blog to check them out, and play along with us if you like! You have until the 24th to submit your card!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Critter

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Critter’. I decided to go with the sketch this time, and use the color palette from the inspiration photo.

This is the first time I've inked up this PTI set from Maile Belle's 'Stamping Simply' Series: Splits Collection. I stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers, and added clear EP to the sentiment. Lastly, I used yellow cardstock as a background for the Venise Lace border.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Pink & Purple

Badge

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS! Susan is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Pink and Purple’.

Our Guest Designer is the super talented YoonYoung Kim ~

I'm a sucker for these cute little Pure Innocence characters, so I thought I would use my Copic markers to color these images. I stenciled the brick background and used DI's for the grass, then die cut the panel with the Venise Lace Border before mounting it on the card base. I left out a sentiment until I'm ready to send this card (probably to my granddaughter)...and that was it!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Pink and Purple’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Bring Out the Sunshine
Dies: MFT - Bring Out the Sunshine, Ewe and Me Forever (grass); Spellbinders - Venise Lace
Stencil: MFT - English Brick Wall
Misc: Copic markers; Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn; MFT - Cement Gray

July Twofer Challenge #18

Hi there, blog friends ~
Today I'm playing along with Darnell's Twofer Challenge  ~ I love playing along with this challenge, so I'm really glad I have a brand new stamp set with lots of beautiful flower silhouettes for my cards.

Sometimes I like to send a card to a friend or family member...Just Because. So for this 5x7 card, I started by masking the hills and ink blending the background in sunset colors with distress oxide inks. Once dried, I stamped the blooms and hills in black. I used my new antique frame and added a simple sentiment.

Unfortunately, not all of our cards are 'happy', so my 2nd card is for someone who needs a few prayers...

For this design, I'm channeling my inner 'Torico' ~
I started this card by ink blending the background with three shades of blue Altenew ink cubes. I used the darkest shade of blue to stamp one layer of flowers, then added a few more with Versamark and white embossing powder. I framed it with the Venice Lace die and dark blue cardstock...and that was it! Here's the photo I used for Darnell's challenge blog:

This is one of my all-time favorite challenges! Darnell always has a fun prompt and I love creating a 2nd card while I have my supplies out. Here are the rules:

If you would like to play along, the deadline for the challenge is July 24th so you still have plenty of time :)

Hello!

Hi everyone ~ I have 2 cards to share again today.
It’s Lucky Dip Week at Less is More  and the theme is Round and Round. So, I decided to use one of the techniques I learned from Debby Hughes at Online Card Class (CAS3) ~ Inlaid Die Cuts.

What I love about this technique is that even with all the dimension, it’s essentially one layer. I die cut my Femme Frames, added a few sequins and used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the sentiment, and that was it! I'm not sure if it's my screen or my poor photo editing skills, but the Berry Sorbet card base looks a little 'orange' on my screen...sigh!

Challenge #35 at Addicted to CAS is in full swing, and the code word for this week is ‘Wheels’. And, at the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge, the theme is 'Anything Goes', so I am submitting this card for both challenges.

For this card, I used my ‘new to me’ stamp and die set from Paper Smooches for the motorcycle and sentiment, and deliberately popped the bike up on an angle to make it look as though it's going into a turn in the road. I stamped both with Versamark, then embossed with  with the color Powder, a pale blue which actually looks white on screen. Then, I die cut the landscape trio die, used my white gel pen to draw in the road, and added the star.

Thank you so much for stopping by...I appreciate your sweet comments very much! I hope everyone is having a great week!
