Muse Challenge #159; PTI Make it Monday - Score Lines

Hi there,
I'm back with 2 cards for a few different challenges. The first is for this week's Muse Challenge #159. Jenni Murray inspired us with this beautiful card:

Here is my very literal take on Jenni's card:

A very sweet friend recently sent this beautiful Poppy Trio stamp to me...Love these gorgeous poppies! I colored them with Copic markers, and framed the design in the same way Jenni did.

This is the first time I'm playing along at PTI's Make it Monday challenge. This week, Laurie Willison shared how she uses score lines on her cards in This Video. I love her CAS designs, and how she adds interest to her cards with this technique, so I decided to create a card using my new stamps/dies.

The score lines are in the lower right-hand corner, and hard to see on screen, so here is a close-up:

The feathers are from PTI What the Doodle mini stamp set, and the sentiment is from Birds & Blooms Anniversary stamp set (no longer available). I blended two shades of blue behind the feathers and added a little silver thread for fun!

So, that's it for me today...Thanks so much for stopping by,

Muse Card Challenge #158

Hi there blog friends,
A really quick post to share a card I created for this week's challenge at Muse ~ Tracey McNeely created this beautiful card for us:

And, here is my take on her card:

As soon as I saw Tracey's large flower, I looked for my biggest flower stamp, and decided to use my PTI Rose. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed with white EP. I colored it with Zig Clean Color brush pens and a little bit of water...a sentiment and a few silver sequins, and that was it!

Thank you so much for stopping by...I hope you had a lovely Easter with family and friends ~

CAS Mix Up Challenge and a few cards

Hi there, blog friends ~
Well, I'm finally feeling better and wanted to share a few cards with you...

The first is for a new challenge, "CAS Mix Up" which is about using mixed media on our cards yet keeping them CAS. Two incredibly talented and sweet card artists, Loll and Bonnie just started this challenge, and I am so happy to get my submission in on time ~

The parameters for this first challenge is stamping, watercoloring, and our choice...I chose die cutting. I used Peerless Watercolors for the bird and branch, and the sentiment was stamped with Versamark and embossed in gold.
Congrats to both of you, Loll and Bonnie, on the success of your very first challenge ~ Over 140 submissions! Way to Go!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with for April!!!

I would also like to post a few other cards that I created...the first is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge...Anything Goes!

I started by using my Brushos on watercolor cardstock (hence all the shimmer), then die cut the Carousel Horses. I added the die cut and stamped sentiment in navy blue, and a few silver stars for fun!

My last card was for the Muse Challenge #156. My dear blog friend Michele created a really beautiful Muse card for us, but I was too sick to post in time...

I started this card by masking the bottom section, and stamping the watercolor tubes with Memento ink. I colored them in with Copics, then die cut the word 'Create'. I added a little bit of WOS to the caps, and that was it!

It's hard to see the details, so here is a close up of the die cut word:

That's it for me today...I want to thank everyone again for all the notes, cards and emails while I was feeling ill...you are all amazing! And, thank you so much for stopping by today ~
