A little weekend crafting

Hi there, crafty friends ~ I've been playing in my craft room over the weekend with some of my new goodies...my super sweet and incredibly talented blog friend, Kay Miller, just released her first two sets of stamps and matching dies at Papertrey Ink! How exciting is that?!!! Today, I'm sharing one set, and next week, I will share the other. I can't wait to see what else she comes up with in the future!

My first card is for Darnell's NBUS Challenge #7 (Never-Before-Used-Schtuff) for the theme 'Anything Goes’ and this week's challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More for the theme ‘Holiday’ ~

These cute Halloween images were so much fun to play with, and I used Copic markers to color them in. The curved panel along the bottom was blended with distress ink. Crisp, clean, simple and fun...my kind of card :)

The featured designer for the current Tag You’re It Challenge is Michelle Short, and I love her inspiration tag! Here is my take on her tag:

I blended SSS Audrey Blue ink on the tag, then added the PTI Sunflower and ombre sentiment from the Make it Market Kit. I love adding a tag like this when I send a little gift package off to my Godchild...it works perfectly!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by, and for leaving such sweet comments. I read and appreciate every one of them :) Have a great week ~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #95

Hi all,
It's time for another fun challenge at Addicted to CAS! Our Guest Designer is Nicole Vogeli, and our Sponsor is Stamplorations! Our hostess for this challenge is Bhavana, and she has chosen our Code Word:

Let's get this party started...Here is my first card:

I love fashion from the 1940's, so I die cut this Silhouette on my Cameo, and placed her on a narrow distress inked panel, which I created by masking. The sentiment is from PTI stamp set 'Fashion Sense' (Stamp-a-faire 2015). The gold pearls are from an old package of Prima gems, and I thought they were a fun way to add dimension to this card.

I just bought the MFT die 'London Skyline', and couldn't wait to use it on a card...so, I created this card as well:

I created a much lighter sky on this card, and added a full moon and some splatters (which I don't love), but it's meant to inspire our visitors to the challenge blog, so I hope it serves its' purpose :) The sentiment is from PTI's Ahoy stamp set.

Since it's always a 2 week challenge, I hope you'll be able to find the time to stop over at the Addicted to CAS challenge blog to see what our Guest Designer and my amazing teamies have created, and play along with us!

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by,

CAS Mix Up - August; CASology Week #211 - Dream; Muse Card Challenge #179

Hi there blog friends! I've been off the grid for a few weeks...Our daughter and granddaughter were visiting from Florida, and I think they accidentally packed my mojo in their suitcases prior to leaving! For the past few days, I pushed myself to play with some NBUS with a few challenges in mind, so here we go ~

My first card is for the August CAS Mix Up Challenge, and the theme is 'stamping, sprays, and our choice'...here is my card:

I used a pre-mixed bottle of Perfect Pearls, and sprayed the Lawn Fawn stitched leaves to get a clear sparkle and shine, then added the Mama Elephant die cut sentiment (my choice) to ground the focal point. The stamped portion of the sentiment is from 2 different Winnie & Walter sets.

My next card is for this week's challenge at CASology, and the Cue Card is 'Dream':

I love this Memory Box dream cloud die, and tried to create an ombre effect with my inks, but it's hard to see on screen. The cherub is from Mama Elephant, as are the tiny hearts, which I die cut with glitter cardstock...a sweet card!

My last card is for this week's Muse Challenge. Jenni Murray created a really fun birthday card, and I went the 'literal route' using my new MFT candle dies ~

I die cut the candles on the front panel, and added PTI Ombre Stripes paper in pink. I colored the flames with Copics, and added clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to give them a little sparkle and shine.

While I was MIA from blogging here, I tried to visit everyone's blog...if I missed you, I apologize, and I will try to get 'back on track' over the next few days :)

As always, thank you so much for stopping by...your sweet comments truly make me smile, and I appreciate it immensely!
