Fusion Card Challenge - Pastel Halloween

Hi there ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion. As you know, the fun part of this challenge is that you can use the sketch or the inspiration photo, or both...I decided to go with both for my card ~

What do you do when you're inspired by those cute little ghost cookies in the photo, but don't have any ghost stamps in your stash? You go shopping :)
So, I found these adorable ghosts at Hello Bluebird...(by the way, they have a lot of cute stamps). I colored them with Copic markers and popped them up on my stenciled clouds. I stamped the simple sentiment with Versafine and embossed with clear EP to add a little shine.

I hope you'll join us at Fusion...whether you're inspired by the sketch, the photo, or both, we would love to see your creations in the gallery!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #306

Hi ~ I'm back again with a card I created for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. This fabulous sketch was created by Jen M.

Here is my take on Jen's sketch:

I was way out of my comfort zone working with all those layers and since I rarely use patterned paper on my cards, this was a real challenge for me...but it was fun :)
Everything on this card is by MFT and I colored the images with Copic markers.

Wishing you all a great week ahead ~ Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments...I really appreciate it!

Supplies:

Patterned Paper: MFT - Black & White Basics Paper Pack

Addicted to CAS Challenge #75

Hi there blog friends ~
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS, and as you can see, our Code Word is 'Spooky'...Just in time for Halloween! Our Hostess for this challenge is the oh, so sweet and talented Ceal, and our Guest Designer is the amazing Joyce, who created a really fabulous card for us!
Also, Sweet Pea Stamps is sponsoring the challenge, and offering four digi's from the store to the lucky winner!

I created 2 cards...Here is my first card:

I'm not sure if my kitty is so 'spooky', but I found him in the Silhouette Store, and couldn't resist his cuteness! So, I colored the eyes and nose with Copics, then stenciled the background, and added a few gems and a sentiment from Mama Elephant.

Here is my 2nd card:

The images and banner are from last years' Halloween release from Mama Elephant. I used traditional colors of orange and purple, but thought it would be fun to add bright lime green for the background.

I hope you'll take a few minutes to visit the Addicted to CAS Blog to see what my team mates have created for this challenge, and please join us...we would love to see your cards in the gallery!
Thanks so much for stopping by...Have a great weekend ~

CASology Challenge #119

Hi there ~
The Cue Card this week at CASology is Ghost! Unfortunately, I don't own any ghost stamps or dies, so I decided to search the Silhouette Store, and this is what I came up with:

So, I enlarged the image and cut it in white so I could color the eyes in a 'creepy' shade of green and the nose and pupil in black. I stamped part of a sentiment from Mama Elephants' Bootastic stamp set, and colored in the alphas with Copic markers. Lastly, I popped up his 'hands' with dimensional adhesive and mounted the panel on to a purple card base. I think he's kinda cute!

I would also like to enter this card in SSS Wednesday Challenge for the theme 'Anything Goes' and AAA Cards Challenge for the theme CAS Halloween.

So, that's it for me...Thanks so much for stopping by,
Barb

ATSM Challenge #116 - Anything Goes

 Hi there Blog Friends,
It's Team A's turn to post our inspiration cards for this week's challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More. This is our "Anything Goes" theme, so I hope you'll put on your thinking caps, grab your stamps and ink, and play along with us! Our Sponsor for this challenge is Rick St. Dennis, and the prize is your choice of 3 Digital Stamps! Here is my card:

A few weeks ago, my super generous friend, Betty sent me the screen door and black cat that I used on my card. I think these die cuts are so much fun, and perfect for a Halloween card (Thanks again, Betty)! I die cut the pumpkins with my Silhouette, and added the bats and sentiment from Mama Elephant Bootastic stamp and die set.

So, that's it for me...I hope everyone is having a great day ~

A New Challenge

Hello all, and thanks for stopping by ~

This week’s challenge at  Less is More is to create a one layer card, and to include the theme of Witches & Wizards. I had this cute ‘Witch’ digi stamp, and couldn’t resist getting out my Copics and coloring her up! Unfortunately, I only have 2 Copics in the ‘purple family’, so I had to do some creative blending on her cape (or is that a dress?)...either way, right? It’s funny, how anything to do with witches reminds me of the 60‘s song by Donovan, “Season of the Witch”. So, now I’m dating myself (wink) and of course, I won’t be able to get this song out of my head for the next few days...yikes!

So, here is my card:

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful autumn weather like we’re having on the east coast of the U.S. - The air is crisp and cool, and it’s such a pleasure after a long hot summer!

Supplies:
Stamps: Tiddly Inks Digital Image - Too Cute to Spook Witchy Wryn; Lawn Fawn - Claire’s ABC’s; SSS - Like Your Style (Swirly line)
Ink: Ranger Archival - Jet Black
Cardstock: Xpress It Blending Card
Markers: Copics

Less is More Challenge:

Until next time, take care,
Barb
