CAS Christmas July Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the July challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Linda and she has chosen ‘Poinsettia’ for our prompt and our Guest Designer is Sandra from Sandma's Handmade Cards.

I love this graphic Poinsettia without adding the 2nd layer to the design, which would fill in the color. I used ultra fine gold embossing powder for the flower and sentiment, added a few clear gems, then placed the panel on a gold foil card base...and that was it! I love a clean and simple card, but sometimes it's hard to know when to add and when to stop ~ know what I mean?

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer. The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us. It’s a great way to add some beautiful cards to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Create

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Create’. This time I used the inspiration photo for my card ~

I was inspired by the word 'Create' on the wall and the wooden chair for the handle on the paintbrush.
I started by stenciling and splattering the background, then used a piece of an alcohol inked panel for the die cut word. I added a simple stamped sentiment and die cut paintbrush for fun :) To add a little contrast, I placed the wonky stitched panel on a grout gray card base ~

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for taking a few minutes out of your day to stop by,

CAS Christmas - December Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It's a new challenge over at CAS Christmas, and this month the theme is 'Stars'! I love the movement in this starry stamp, so I was happy to ink it up again and play along!

I started by stenciling the cloudy sky, then die cut this NBUS Christmas Angel with white glitter cardstock. I stamped the stars and sentiment with Liquid Platinum EP and placed the panel on to an A2 card base.

So, that's it for me...head on over and check out all of the gorgeous cards Loll, Bonnie and their team created for this month's challenge ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #110

Hi everyone ~ Happy Saturday! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, and this time our code word is 'Grunge'! Our hostess for this challenge is Jaydee, and our sponsor is STAMPlorations! Also, Ashwini will be joining us as our Guest Designer!

Here is my card:

Yes, it's this cute little coffee cup again :) I have to admit that I had a really hard time coming up with a design for this code word, so I hope my splatters and splats are ok. Keeping with a CAS design, I decided to go monochromatic with a pop of pink and my new MFT stitched frame.

I hope you'll stop by the ATCAS Challenge Blog to check our all of the DT girls fun cards. The challenge runs for 2 weeks ~ Come join the fun!

Have a great weekend ~ Thanks so much for stopping by.

CASology Week #235; CAS Watercolor - February; Merry Monday - CAS Christmas

Hi everyone! I'm back to share three cards that I created for a few challenges ~

The first is for CASology and the Cue Card for this week is 'Hero'

For this card, I used PTI's set called Boy Basics: Rock On and the ARTplorations stencil: Art Splatters. The guitar die cut is stacked 3 times for dimension, and I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the splatter.

My next card is for the February CAS Watercolor Challenge - And, the theme is 'Love'

I just purchased this MFT set called Otterly Love You, and couldn't wait to ink it up! The water was colored DI's and I used my Zig Brush Markers for the otter and heart. I also layered the Spiral Notebook with a vellum panel, and die cut one wave to tuck the otter inside.

My last card is for this week's challenge at Merry Monday - We are being asked to create a CAS Christmas card.

For this card, I embossed Ellen Hutson's Christmas Scribble tree in white then embossed it a second time with Iridescent EP, and blended Sea Glass behind it to make it pop. The sentiment was embossed with Liquid Platinum, and for the snow, I dotted the panel with a glue pen and sprinkled glitter for sparkle. So, that's it for me ~

I hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start! Thanks so much for stopping by,
