CASology Challenge - Thrill

Hi there blog friends ~
This is my 2nd post today...if you're looking for my ATCAS Challenge card, please go Here.
I always enjoy playing along in the CASology Challenge, and I love this week's cue card...Thrill!

Here is my card:

I never tire of this SSS/Mama Elephant collab stamp set, and thought this little kitty would work well to show the thrill of riding a skateboard! I started by masking off a small area along the bottom, then inking the ground with Grout Gray and stenciling the clouds with TH Tumbled Glass ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and added a touch of glitter to the puffs of smoke...and that was it :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies
Stamps & Dies: SSS/Mama Elephant - Skater Kids
Stencil: MFT - Mini Clouds
Misc: Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen

Addicted to CAS Challenge #137 - Sea

Hi there! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and we have an awesome code word to inspire you...Sea! Stephanie is our hostess and as always, Happy Little Stampers is our Sponsor, offering a $20.00 GC for the winner! Also, the fabulous Claire A. is our Guest Designer.

After watching This Video by Laura Bassen, I thought her technique would work perfectly with the SSS waves stencil. I've been hoarding my Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste, and thought I'd better start using it before it dries out :)
This Mermazing set is new to me, so after I set aside the background, I colored the images with Copic markers. I placed all of my sea creatures inside the oval and added a few Rainstones; the sentiment was embossed with Gold EP, and that was it!

Feel free to stop by the ATCAS Blog and check out all the beautiful cards my teamies created for this challenge...maybe you'll even be inspired to play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Challenge - Coral Flowers

Hi blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our theme is 'Coral Flowers'. For this challenge, I decided to go with the Fusion by combining the sketch with a few elements from the inspiration photo:

These beautiful flowers and leaves are from Altenew and the stripes are from an old SSS background stamp. I used emboss resist for the blooms with white EP and MFT 's Peach Bellini ink. For the stripes, I used Coral Crush to add contrast to the design.

I hope you'll stop by the Fusion Challenge Blog to see the lovely cards my teamies created for your inspiration, and that you'll play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! I'm playing along with a 'new to me' challenge at The Cat's Pajamas. My sweet friend Michele gifted me with some of TCP lovely die cuts and I chose to play with the butterflies ~

I ink blended the butterflies with Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron DI's, and in retrospect, I wish I had added wire antennae to each butterfly, but I thought of it after they were glued down. Next, I shaped the embossed sentiment to mimic the stitched scalloped border and added the striped papers for contrast. A few sparkly gems and this card was done and dusted :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

May CAS Christmas Challenge - Take 2

Hi there crafty friends! I'm back with my reminder post as May Guest Designer for the fabulous CAS Christmas Challenge!
There is still time to play along in this month's challenge! Here is my 2nd card:

For this card, I stenciled some snowy hills and stamped this really cute Penny Black Snowman. I colored him with Copic markers, used a touch of Glossy Accents for his nose, and added a few polka dots to his scarf with my gel pen. The snowflake is from MFT, which I embossed with iridescent sparkle EP. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment and re-stamped it with Versamark and added clear EP for some shine...a clear sparkly gem for the snowflake and a wonky stitched border, and that was it!

I hope you'll go through your stash and dig up your favorite snowman stamps or dies and join us at the CAS Christmas Challenge...you know December will be here before we know it, and it's never too early to get started creating our Christmas cards :)

May Twofer Card Challenge - Butterflies

Hi there blog friends! It's time for another Twofer Card Challenge with Darnell and her fabulous DT, and the theme for this month is 'Butterflies'! Here are the parameters of the challenge:

Since I just placed an order from PTI and bought this sweet little butterfly stamp set, I was ready to get crafty ~ Here is my take on the challenge:

For my first card, I used Peerless watercolors and created a monochromatic color palette. I colored behind the 'fussy-cut' vellum butterfly with Copics, used silver EP for the sentiment, and added a few silver sequins for a little sparkle!

My 2nd card is very simple :) I started by stenciling the clouds, then stamped the butterflies and used my Glaze Gel pens to color in the tips of the butterfly wings. More fussy-cutting, a stitched border, a scripty sentiment and a few clear sequins, and that was it!

Addicted to CAS Challenge #136 - Mom/Mum

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for another challenge at ATCAS and just in time for Mother's Day our code word is 'Mom/Mum'! Ceal is our Hostess, the super talented Rachel Bergfeld is our Guest Designer and the winner of this challenge will receive a $20.00 GC from Happy Little Stampers!

I was so excited to win an Altenew GC from Virginia Lu's Blog a few weeks ago, so I could finally buy this alpha die set :) I stamped flowers from PTI and Lawn Fawn and stopped at varying heights to hopefully add dimension to this card. It's been a long cold winter here on the east coast, so I really enjoyed taking out some spring colors for the flowers and leaves. The alphas are inlaid and stacked 3 high on a scalloped frame...a few sparkly sequins and this card was done and dusted!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Challenge - Harbor

Hi there! I'm back to share my card for the next Fusion Challenge ~ I love the gorgeous inspiration photo, but this time I went with the sketch.

I'm always in need of a birthday card, so I embossed the balloon strings and die cut the sentiment with SSS white glitter paper. I stenciled the balloon and string using a die from MFT Blueprints 26, which is not part of the sketch, so I hope the boss doesn't mind :)

If you're inspired by the sketch or inspiration photo, please stop by the Fusion Challenge Blog and feel free to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Balloon Strings Background Stamp
