Addicted to CAS Challenge #87

Hi there blog friends ~
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS, and our Code Word is 'Plaid'!
Here are the details:

- Our Hostess is Anja
- Our Sponsor is Create A Smile
- Our Guest Designer is Shona Chambers
Here is my take on the Code Word:

I started by creating my own plaid pattern with Post-It tape and several inks (channeling my inner Laura Bassen), then die cut the elephant and added the sentiment.

My teammates at Addicted to CAS have created some beautiful cards, and we would love to have you join us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Playing Cards With Michele

Happy Wednesday, everyone! On April 13th, Therese Calvird posted this gorgeous card on her blog ~

OK, you can pick your jaw up off the table now :) Therese included two videos...the first, showing us several tips and tricks she uses while stamping with layered flowers...(you can see it on You Tube Here), and a 2nd video Here, designing her BEAUTIFUL card! So, while chatting with my blog friend, Michele, we thought it would be fun to CASE Therese' card! Here is mine:

I CASE'd Therese' design and stamping technique, but went with a different color palette. The flowers (The Sweet Life) and Impression Plate (Picnic Plaid) are from PTI, as are the clear Rainstones sequins.

So, that's it for me today...I hope you'll find the time to stop over at Michele's Blog to see her creation...they're always gorgeous!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Tag You're It Challenge #45

Hello again ~
A really quick post tonight to share a card/tag for the Tag You're It Challenge...I'm getting in right under the wire, so I'll get right to it.

My super sweet blog friend and fellow teamie, Carol Mayne created such a beautiful card/tag for us...here it is:

I love Carol's CAS design and gorgeous blending on this tag! Here is my tag/card:

I chose a different color palette, because I found this really old Jenni Bowlin Studio butterfly in my stash...do you remember this company? Anyway, I used distress inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean) for my blending, and for the stenciled background, which is a bit lighter (Tumbled Glass). Here is a close-up:

So, that's it for me...Thank you so much for stopping by,

Mother's Day, Friendship, and a few other goodies!

Hi there blog friends ~
I have 4 cards to share, so there are lots of photos. Let's get right to it...
In alphabetical order ~ My first card is for this week's challenge at CASology for the Cue Card 'Mom'

The flower (from SSS) was colored with Peerless Watercolors, and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Stamps. I added a few PTI Rainstones, but they're hard to see on screen.

My 2nd card is for Muse and Virginia's View, who is having a Link-Up Party, and her theme is ‘Any type of friendship card'!

Tracey McNeely created this gorgeous card for us at Muse:

Here is Virginia’s inspiration card...isn’t it beautiful?!

And, here is my card:

I went with Tracey's design and color palette, and Virginia's theme of friendship. Everything on this card is from Papertrey Ink (Bloomers, Wet Paint, Turning a New Leaf).

OK, my next card is for this week's Make it Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink for the technique 'Faux Brush Lettering':

I used my MISTI to stamp each shade of pink once, then with a watercolor brush, I painted the words. In person, there is a bit of variation in the colors of each letter.

My last card is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge for the theme 'Ink Blending'

I used several shadow inks for the background, then added the hills and Village die cuts.

All products are listed below with Inlinkz...Thanks so much for stopping by,
