Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge

Hello there ~ It's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, and this time our theme is 'Holiday'! DRS Designs is sponsoring our challenge, and they are offering a $10.00 gift certificate in their store to the winner!

I chose Valentine's Day, since it's just around the corner ~

I thought it would be fun to use a few non-traditional colors for my card...I started by channeling my 'Inner Kay Miller', and created a color wash with Peerless watercolors. If you're not familiar with Kay, just click on her name, and grab a cuppa your favorite drink...you are in for a real treat! I die cut the heart with PTI Silver Luxe cardstock, and the sentiment with DCWV teal foil cardstock. Both are SSS dies, and I think they look so pretty together. For the inside of the heart, which is off-set, I used patterned vellum (white polka dot), but it's hard to see in the photo. Lastly, I added a stamped sentiment and a few sparkly sequins, and that was it!

I hope you'll find the time to stop over at the Addicted to Stamps & More blog and check out the lovely cards created by my teamies! We would love it if you would join in the fun, too!

It just so happens that this week's theme at the SSS Flickr Challenge is 'Anything Goes', so I am entering my card there, as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ Have a great week,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #80

Hi there ~ It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS, and as our Hostess, Doni has chosen the Code Word 'Red'!
Our Sponsor is Happy Little Stampers, and Kylie (owner) is offering a $15.00 gift certificate to her fabulous online store!

We also have an amazing Guest Designer for this challenge ~ Ardyth Percy-Robb, and she has created a gorgeous card for us! Here is my card:

I recently bought this beautiful PTI stamp set called 'Graceful Greetings', and couldn't wait to use it! To create a little contrast to the red roses, I used a touch of aqua and green for accents. I also wanted to keep this card as CAS as possible, so there are no sequins or WOS...imagine that? Anyway, easy-peasy, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

This is one of the cards that I am also sending to the Lasting Hearts Card Drive...if you would like more information or if you would like to participate in this wonderful Card Drive, please go to Jennifer McGuire's Blog

I hope you'll take a few minutes to check out the beautiful cards my team mates have created for the challenge, and play along with us this week at ATCAS ~ Have a great weekend,

Tag You're It; SSS Flickr Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~
A really quick post from me to share a few cards I created for challenges. When I saw this adorable tag by Tracey McNeely, I knew I had to play along in this week's challenge at Tag You're It...here is her tag:

Tracey's elephant just slays me! I have 2 elephant stamps, both of which are too big for a tag, so I went with a different animal...man's best friend(s):

So, I grabbed my Mama Elephant pups, and created sort of a boy and girl scene with a love theme. I did a soft blue watercolor wash for the background, and used my Copic markers to color the pups. The hearts were die cut with silver glitter paper, and the sentiment was embossed with clear EP to make it pop...and that was it!

My 2nd card is for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge - Wonderful One Layer Creations:

The balloons were created with the Balloon & Patterns Stencil and HA Shadow inks, and the sentiment is from the Sending/Wishing stamp set. The stars were stamped with silver ink, and dabbed with Wink of Stella for a little sparkle...done and dusted!

Thanks to Loll, I would like to enter this card for the current challenge at Time Out. Their theme is 'Birthday with an optional technique twist of sponging'.

Thanks so much for stopping by! And, thank you for leaving such sweet comments on my blog...I read each and every one, and appreciate that you take the time to write them :) Have a great weekend,
