Addicted to Stamps Challenge #146

Hi everyone ~ It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps, and our theme is 'Anything Goes'...we are also having a Design Team Call!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Stamplorations, and they are offering a $10.00 gift certificate as a prize!

I stamped the blooms from the PTI set called 'Just Smile' using my Hero Arts shadow inks. I created the grass by shading in below the flowers with light green colored pencils. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's 'Summertime Charm' stamp set, and the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

I was dying to ink up this cute little girl stamp from La-La-Land Crafts called Awareness Ribbon Marci to create a card for my mom. She has survived breast cancer twice, and I learned that National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual celebration that is held around the world on the first Sunday in June!

Here is my 2nd card:

I colored Marci with Copic markers, added a sentiment from Avery Elle (discontinued) and brushed on a little bit of Wink of Stella clear glitter to her pink ribbon. A few soft pink pearls, and I was finished! Here is a close up of all that lovely sparkle:

So, that's it for me today...I hope you'll take the time to visit the Addicted to Stamps Blog and play along in this week's challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS - Challenge #64

 Hi everyone,
It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, and our code word is 'Animal'. Our host is the super sweet and incredibly talented Joanna, and our sponsor is Create a Smile
who are offering 12.50 Euro (One Stamp Set) as a prize for the winner! We also have a very talented Guest Designer for this challenge ~ Monika, who has created two really sweet cards!

Here is my card:

I've had this stamp and die set in my stash for a few months, and finally pulled it out for this challenge. I was inspired by the 'whispy' technique Sandy Allnock used when she previously colored this image, and thought it would be fun to try it on my owl. Here is a close up:

I also blended distress inks to create the sky background and framed the aperture with SSS white woodgrain cardstock. Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to his eyeballs to make them shine.

I hope you'll stop by the ATCAS blog to see what my teammates  have created and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I hope your weekend is off to a great start ~

CASology - Wedding, SSS Flickr Challenge - Backgrounds & CAS on Sunday - Cheer Up, Buttercup

Hi everyone,
My mojo has been a bit low lately, but I have managed to create a few cards for some of my favorite challenges. The first one is for this week's challenge at CASology and the Cue Card is Wedding:

I started by stamping the wine glasses with my Hero Arts ombre inks, then die cut my brand new Penny Black die cut word Congrats several times and stacked them to add dimension. I added a few sequins and Wink of Stella to the glasses for some shimmer and shine ~

My second card is for two challenges -  Simon  Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #19 for the theme Create Your Own Background and for the CAS on Sunday Challenge for the theme Cheer Up, Buttercup:

I created a subtle background for the aperture using white embossing paste and SSS Tiny Dots Stencil, and couldn't resist this adorable pup from the You Are Pawsome stamp and die set. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp. I thought this was a great card for someone who's feeling down :)

Thanks to Loll's suggestion, I would like to add both cards to the May CAS Challenge at Happy Little Stampers  for the theme 'Use Die Cuts and Punches' ~ Thanks, Loll!

So, that's it for me today...I apologize for the slightly dark photos, as we're having an overcast day. I hope everyone is getting ready to have a fun and crafty weekend ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,
